Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

Spend your money somewhere else. Absolute worst experience. I bought a pair of sunglasses, I specifically asked or nonpolarized, after seeing a few frames, they gave me a pair which when I took home turned out to be polarized. So I came back to return them, only for them to tell me they are having a problem with debit returns and cannot give me money back, they did take the sunglasses and said the billing department will reach out. They did, offering a wire transfer which they say will cost me some fees, and I will have to show proof of these fees, so them to send me another wire transfer, which then have new fees,....
If I ever hear anyone wanting to deal with this company, I will be sure to do whatever it takes to dissuade them.

I've been purchasing my prescription glasses at Warby Parker since they first came to Vancouver in 2019. The staff is exceptional, the frames far more affordable than anywhere else (more line with what they SHOULD be!) , with a great variety and cool factor, and the options for lenses exactly what I want. LOVE THEM!

Today I was really disappointed with the service at Kits Eyewear. We waited in line for about 30 minutes to get glasses tightened and also buy two new pairs. Right when we finally got close, staff announced the store was closing and refused to help us. We had been standing there the whole time, and no one said anything earlier or set a cutoff point for the lineup queue. It was really disappointing because it took time out of our day. Honestly, it felt really unorganized and frustrating. They should have managed the line better or made sure people already waiting could still be helped.They should have accompanied people waiting in line prior to the closing.Don’t get me wrong, the glasses are affordable, but the customer service today was really disappointing. Definitely not a good experience.

I’ve had a really good experience with Warby Parker. I recently got my reading glasses from them and already own two pairs of sunglasses—everything has been excellent.
The frames are beautiful and feel like great quality. I also really appreciate the color selection—there are lots of tasteful, wearable options. Knowing that many of the frames are made in Italy adds to the overall quality feel.
What I especially like is that once I find shapes I love, I can easily come back and reorder them in the same or different colors—it makes the whole process much easier and more consistent.
Overall, they feel very reliable, and the service has been smooth and professional every time. I’d definitely recommend them.

Been here many times over the years to get glasses. Each time I go the staff are very attentive and helpful. Sometimes I go in-between new prescriptions to get my frames tightened and readjusted. Evelina was especially helpful with this task! We even had a broken pair of frames that she luckily found a match for at the store. Recommended for affordable and stylish glasses 👏
