Comprehensive exams starting at $85
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $35)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

Excellent shopping experience in Glendale store--Andres was very helpful, not pushy and allowed me all the time I needed to try on a variety of frames and direct me to ones I specifically asked for. Purchasing was quick; glasses will be ready much faster than I expected so look forward to my new frames/rx. Would not hesitate to return--the policy for returning in 30 days is also a bonus.

Excellent customer service. The person who helped me (I think her name was Kat) was fantastic. When I wanted to just look around, she gave me the space for that, and when I had questions, she was quick to point me in the right direction. I visited the store twice. During the first trip, I just wanted to see the selection (pretty good variety IMO!). I mentioned that I was looking for frames that fit a smaller or narrower face so she showed me all the frames in that category. The second time I was there, when I was deciding between a few pairs, she showed me what I options I had in terms of color, width, etc. In the end, I found two pairs that fit my style. Great experience at Warby Parker!

Dr Irene is very professional, she performed a deep exam of my eyes, explained what she was doing and the results of the exam. She answered all my questions / concerns while being very kind and friendly.
The store has a large choice of different frames and the personnel is kind and very very patient. I was choosing my 1st pair of glasses, was not sure and the store assistant who helped me has been kind and not pressuring at all the all time.
I will definitely go back there next time I'll need a visit.

Honestly, Warby Parker has been a great revelation. I did not need to wear glasses for over 13 years so I was a little intimidated by the process when I was told that I needed to. Plus all stores tend to look and feel the same, and store same expensive brands that lack personality. I literally had the opposite experience here: the store is super friendly
and welcoming; the specialist who assisted me was very knowledgeable and really did not come across as pushing products or the like: she simply shared recommendations on products that I actually needed; and to have paid only $290 for two frames (one paid were sunglasses), was amazing quite honestly!
