Dr. Sophia E. Tran is a state-licensed optometrist who graduated from the New England College of Optometry (NECO) in 2018. Specializing in primary care optometry, Dr. E. Tran uses cutting-edge technology and clinical expertise to perform a comprehensive eye health exam—prescribing eyeglasses, fitting contact lenses, evaluating eye health, and more for patients ages 4 and up.

Comprehensive exams starting at $85
We recommend an annual exam to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.

Insurance, FSA, and HSA
Whether we’re in- or out-of-network with your carrier, you can use vision insurance to save at Warby Parker . (We accept FSA and HSA, too!)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

I came in today determined to finally get new glasses — no appointment, no plan, just pure motivation to stop putting it off. As soon as I walked in, I made eye contact with Tanya, and she made the entire process so smooth from that moment on.
I showed her pictures of the glasses I wanted, and she quickly went to grab them for me without hesitation. I was doing my best to explain what I was looking for, and she immediately pulled out her notepad and pen, writing things down and visually showing me what she meant as she explained. That meant a lot to me.
She found the exact pair I had in mind, but then casually pulled another pair that wasn’t even on my radar. And wow — I’m so glad she did. I usually stick to basic colors, but this pair was a muted green — subtle, not too bold, just enough to feel different. I fell in love with how it looked on me. It felt like the new style I didn’t know I needed.
She even helped me secure a comprehensive exam appointment the same day with Dr. Tran. After roaming around the plaza for a bit, I came back right on time. Dr. Tran was incredibly sweet and accommodating. She never made me feel like I was overthinking my questions. Instead, she explained everything clearly and visually, which I truly appreciate as someone who processes things by picturing them in my head. She made it all feel easy — and honestly, made adulting feel a little less overwhelming.
After the exam, I was introduced to Will, who helped me with the transaction. He explained the insurance and shipping process thoroughly and was patient when I had follow-up questions. Everything felt clear and straightforward.
By the time I walked out of Warby Parker, I was smiling — proud of myself for coming in alone and finally accomplishing something I’d been putting off for so long. The entire team made the experience empowering, smooth, and even enjoyable.

The store itself and lovely staff are so welcoming, with the space feeling fresh and bright, and all associates are so helpful and highly skilled. This is my third purchase at the Long Beach location, and it was truly THE BEST.
Standout details include great communication during the eye exam; a delightful—and so thoughtful!—curation of recommended frames; thorough follow-up; and expert adjustment of my current WB frames.

Danielle helped my partner and I today and was extremely helpful and friendly, making sure we were able to order the frames we chose in suitable sizes/colors and diligently ensuring we were still able to maximize insurance benefits. Happy to suggest options while also giving plenty of space to browse and decide. Everyone working on this store seemed very approachable and knowledgeable, there was a wide selection of frames available to try on (important since what looks good online doesn't always look good on your face), and the whole experience was fun and efficient.

Warby Parker has excellent service and very fashionable selection of frames. But the most important aspect to me at this time was the price. My insurance doesn’t kick in for a few months so this is an out-of-pocket expense. I was able to buy two pairs of glasses at WP for a few dollars more than one pair at Kaiser.

Nice people in the store, but these are probably the worst quality glasses I've ever purchased. The first pair was delivered to store for pick up, and broke in the store before I could even put them on. I've only had the replacements for 3 months, and they're already breaking in the same way and probably won't last much longer. I've never had problems like this with other glasses. Not recommended.

Warby can be fine, but if you have a high prism number their labs can’t handle it. Considering that glasses is all they do, I find this strange and inadequate. If Zenni, Costco and others can handle it, Warby should invest in their labs so that they can handle it.

Mr. Chris truly came to our rescue while we were out-of-town tourists. Our only pair of glasses broke and needed a small screw repair. He took one look at them, immediately got to work, and had them fixed in just a few minutes while we waited. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and polite the entire time. He even refused to charge us for the service. His generosity gave us so much relief, and he honestly felt like our hero. We are extremely grateful to Mr. Chris, his store, and his team for their kindness and outstanding service.
