Comprehensive exams starting at $85
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $35)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

I loved everything about my visit here today including my eye exam. I’ve been coming here for years, and they always have the kindest humans working here, but today Wren set the standard. She was beyond knowledgeable, incredibly patient, and generously insightful! She helped me get old pairs to fit in a way they never did (my fault for not getting them fit) and helped me find new pairs that are wonderful. I couldn’t be happier with her and with my visit!

Went and purchased a new pair of glasses tonight. The store is beautiful and easy to shop and try on all the glasses. Also Chad was super helpful and amazing, I went by myself so he felt like a friend who was helping me decide which pair looked best on me. If you want to find frames that match the vibes of living your best life, go see Brennan at this Warby Parker. In a matter of seconds, Brennan discreetly analyzed my bone structure (and possibly my ancestry) whilst making polite conversation. He then offered several frames from their wall of wishes, and each pair told a story: I’m an Italian stewardess; I’m a knowledgeable librarian in an old British bookshop; I’m a mad, mad scientist tinkering with robots that deliver your food; I’m a little old lady enjoying an afternoon cappuccino at Lamill. All of them were perfect, and he mentioned I could purchase two pairs and receive a 15% discount on each. He saw me, he educated me, he helped me embrace my best life. Thank you, Brennan. I've been happily buying excellent Warby Parker frames for over 10 years, but the amazing customer service at the Silverlake store--and in particular from Vanessa--deserves extra recognition. I had some issues with my prescription from another (non-Warby-Parker) optician that Vanessa successfully diagnosed. Following the prescription correction, she expertly tweaked the fit on my frames for my somewhat asymmetrical face, perfectly resolving a prescription alignment issue I was having. Thank you!

During a new patient eye exam, the female optometrist (O.D.) Dr. Hsu with the orthopedic boot, said to my fíance, her new patient, who was right at my side: "Please excuse the decoration. You are invited to a party of mine after work." He said: "no". For context: There was a single balloon that was tucked behind her chair on the floor. The balloon was all black with a yellow tinted lining on the top all in the shape of a champagne bottle. I'm not sure, but the last time I graduated from school to be a medical provider, I was told asking patients out wasn't kosher. 5 minutes later she kept up the behavior by being persistent and asked him: "What are your plans for later today?" (dude, he already told you no)... He remained silent. Shout out to Ren and Cali for being the real MVPs. Ren and Cali ask for the raise you deserve!

I was walking down the block when I felt debris in my eye and severe pain, I came into the store urgently unsure if they could serve me but they said patients come to see their optometrists for infection, etc. I made an appointment for 15 minutes out on the spot. I saw Dr. Hsu who was clearly extremely smart, knowledgeable about her field, and also so friendly and helped defused the stress and panic of the situation immediately. She assessed the situation in a timely fashion and immediately diagnosed and gave me a game plan for treatment. I entered the store crying and literally left beaming, smiling. Thank Dr. Hsu!! 100/10

I showed up for my scheduled appointment and they didn’t have necessary staff there. I took off work for this appointment.
They claimed they tried to reach out by phone to inform me but they input the wrong number (they have texted me at the correct number many times in the past).
Previously they have sent me glasses with the wrong prescription because they input incorrect prescription info from their own doctor.
Another time they made a mistake on a prescription and at least caught the mistake and called me to explain before the glasses arrived. The delays resulted in not having my sunglasses before a long vacation.
These existences lead me to believe they are careless with medical information. Can you imagine if pharmacists routinely messed up dosages like this shop messes up their prescriptions?
The doctor seems competent. It must be frustrating to have colleagues who lack the care and responsibility to accurately write down numbers.
The location is convenient, I like the doctor and I like the glasses styles, but can I bring myself to go back? I know I shouldn’t, but…. a good doctor in a convenient location is hard to come by. If I decide to keep going here and if they stop screwing up, I’ll delete this.
