We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

Perhaps the best experience in buying glasses AND contact lenses! The ease with which they attach health insurance was amazing. I saved hundreds by going to Warby as well as their web site. In regard to contact lenses: Warby is easier and far less money than Lens.com (which is a fine company) - but the selection and pricing beats them all.

I’m extremely disappointed with the way this situation has been handled.
I ordered my glasses about a week and a half ago. They were shipped a few days later through USPS and marked as delivered, but the delivery information only showed “Sherman Oaks, CA” and did not include my full address or apartment details. Because of that, I never received the glasses.
I contacted the optical store, and they told me they would look into it with USPS and, in the meantime, start making a replacement pair so I wouldn’t have to wait too long. However, several days later, after I had to call again, I found out that they still had not started making the replacement glasses. I was then told it could take around 10 more days just to make and ship the new pair.
At this point, I feel like I have been waiting for nothing. I had to follow up multiple times myself, and every time I called, I was only told that they were “following up” or “in process,” without any clear update, solution, or urgency. It also seems like they did not properly contact USPS until I pushed them again.
This is very poor customer service. Glasses are not just a random accessory — people need them to see. I expected much better communication, faster action, and a more professional approach. Instead, I’m left without my order, without a clear timeline, and with no real accountability from the business.
I hope management takes this seriously and resolves the issue immediately.

Warby Parker does not accept Medi-cal for children.
They DO pay to advertise on Google if you search for "Optometrists that accept Medi-Cal for children" and "Medi-Cal Optometrists".
Our doctor also told us we could go literally anywhere and we get 1 free pair of glasses per year, maybe our doctor gave us bad information.
Went into my appointment today with my son:
"Will you be using insurance?"
"Yes, we have medi-cal"
"We don't accept Medi-cal"
"Oh, you don't accept our insurance I thought you did?"
"We never did"
"I guess I"ll go then"
"OK."
I guess this place ain't for the poors lol, looking on their website now it looks like theres some caveats but I guess they didn't have time for all that

This location was great. Had a complete eye appointment using the latest equipment by a wonderful eye doctor. The rest of the staff was very friendly and helped my find the right frames. Will definitely be returning to this store for glasses in the future.
Only issue it was tough to find parking on this stretch of 3rd. Recommend going south of 3rd to find street parking.
