Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
The well-known portion of an eye exam where you read from a chart of progressively shrinking letters until they're too small to see

A screening for issues like glaucoma and cataracts, and for signs of other health conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and more
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Insurance, FSA, and HSA
Whether we’re in- or out-of-network with your carrier, you can use vision insurance to save at Warby Parker . (We accept FSA and HSA, too!)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

Diana jumped in right away, listened carefully to what I was looking for, and somehow found the *perfect* pair of glasses with ease. She was friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and refreshingly efficient—and she made the whole experience a pleasure. I was greeted kindly and then was seen by the best Optometrist I have ever worked with - Dr J Parrish. She was so knowledgeable, nice, efficient and had a lot of patience answering all my questions and concerns. She really listened as if she really cares. Her staff was also so friendly and helpful. I love this optometry location in Carmel Valley - San Diego Ca. also.

This store just opened recently in my neighborhood. A family member recommended so I decided to give it a try. The entire process from setting up the appointment online, having the exam by the Warby Parker optometrist and the sales associate was excellent. The optometrist was very knowledgeable about my eye condition and addressed all my concerns. I did not feel that I was being upsold but rather given options to add-on within 6 months of my exam. The sales associate was also very knowledgeable about the different styles of glasses as well as the lense options available. They had my insurance coverage details pulled up before I came into the store so I knew what would be included. The store had a great selection of frames and the ability to have any frame as either eyeglasses or sun glasses. Excited to get my glasses in a few weeks!

I worked in the store randomly to see if they can fixed my glasses (the screw was lose and one leg fall apart from the frame). One lady welcomed me and the other lady fixed it immediately for free. She also checked the nosepads to make sure they are in good places. I really appreciated their kind help because the glasses even not brought from them. Thank you so much ladies and you made my day!

I’ve used Warby Parker before and love the convenience of ordering glasses online. I was happy to see they opened a location near me in Carmel Valley/Del Mar. I just had my prescription updated with my Optometrist and had uploaded my prescription to the app. I selected frames online that I liked. When I walked into the store, the sales associate pulled the frames that I had favorited on my account for me to try on. The process was quick and easy. She even said that if I bring in my old Warby Parker frames they can assess the state of them to update my prescription for those for a fee.
I was able to order 3 new glasses and use my HSA funds. I can’t wait to get my glasses delivered to my house!

I had a really wonderful experience with the optician Amanda at the Del Mat location. I brought my dogs in with me and she was extremely nice to them. She has great energy which they picked up on. She showed me lots of options and I am fairly indecisive, but she was really patient and was able to suggest some frames that really look good on me. I asked her to give me her honest opinion on what did and did not look good and I ended up purchasing some prescription sunglasses that I love. Thank you, Amanda!

I walked in and was immediately greeted with a warm smile from a friendly sales associate who was eager to help. I had a pair of glasses that needed some adjustments.
We picked out a new pair while the adjustments were being made. The associate was really knowledgeable about the different types of frames. They also had the option to show you how the lenses look based on the options you choose.
Overall, I was super happy, convenient, and friendly.

A terrific visit to this new Warby Parker! I was greeted quickly and warmly by the staff, and checked in with ease.
The doctor took a tremendous amount of time during my exam to patiently and fully explain my various options for progressive lenses (or not) and multi focal contacts (or not). Tried on no fewer than 3 different pairs of contacts to try to find what would work best for me. So nice to have the time and attention and not be rushed through this process!
As for frame selection, not only is there a great variety to choose from, but the staff are super helpful in finding various options that might work. Here, too, I never felt rushed and had the attention of several staff members who helped weigh in on my frame options.
Final checkout was smooth and easy with my advisor clearly explaining the options, add ons, insurance, shipping, policies and final costs. And another staffer even offered to add my runner up frame choice into my account, so we can come back to that one at a later time, if I want.
Overall, a fantastic experience and I’d highly recommend this store!
