Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

I ordered two pairs of glasses and received the incorrect prescription for one pair. In-store, a new associate assisted me and then another staff member stepped in, so two people were involved in confirming which frames matched each prescription. I understand that errors can happen, but the process to correct this has been inconvenient. I spent over one hour on online chat, now need to return the incorrect pair, and wait for a replacement. Given the time involved, a refund or partial refund would have been appropriate. This has been disappointing.

Picking out glasses is hard! Or it was, before I came to this store. The associate suggested which shape would be most flattering, and showed me where to find those shapes at the store. She also set out three frames for me to try -- I ended up choosing one of those. Easy ordering process. I forgot my prescription but was able to place the order and upload my prescription once I got home. They have a great selection of both classic and trendy frames.

As a long-time wearer of glasses, I'm accustomed to the dreaded time-consuming task of trying to find a new pair when my prescription gets an update. All that changed today when I walked into our new neighborhood Warby Parker store. I was greeted by a friendly staff member who listened to my preferences and identified a wonderful set of frames for me. By about the third pair I tried on, my associate had found my new match. From the moment I stepped into the Warby Parker store at Del Mar Highlands Town Center, I felt genuinely welcome. Diana jumped in right away, listened carefully to what I was looking for, and somehow found the *perfect* pair of glasses with ease. I was greeted kindly and then was seen by the best Optometrist I have ever worked with - Dr J Parrish. She was so knowledgeable, nice, efficient and had a lot of patience answering all my questions and concerns. She really listened as if she really cares. Her staff was also so friendly and helpful. This store just opened recently in my neighborhood. A family member recommended so I decided to give it a try. The entire process from setting up the appointment online, having the exam by the Warby Parker optometrist and the sales associate was excellent. The optometrist was very knowledgeable about my eye condition and addressed all my concerns. I did not feel that I was being upsold but rather given options to add-on within 6 months of my exam. The sales associate was also very knowledgeable about the different styles of glasses as well as the lense options available. They had my insurance coverage details pulled up before I came into the store so I knew what would be included. The store had a great selection of frames and the ability to have any frame as either eyeglasses or sun glasses. Excited to get my glasses in a few weeks!

I worked in the store randomly to see if they can fixed my glasses (the screw was lose and one leg fall apart from the frame). One lady welcomed me and the other lady fixed it immediately for free. She also checked the nosepads to make sure they are in good places. I really appreciated their kind help because the glasses even not brought from them. Thank you so much ladies and you made my day!
