Dr. Darya Zarkhina
Introduction
Dr. Darya Zarkhina is a state-licensed optometrist who graduated from the New England College of Optometry (NECO) in 2023. Specializing in primary care optometry, Dr. Zarkhina uses cutting-edge technology and clinical expertise to perform a comprehensive eye health exam—prescribing eyeglasses, fitting contact lenses, evaluating eye health, and more for patients ages 4 and up.

Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

Walked in last Friday to get my WP glasses adjusted, I was with a friend and we saw at least five different associates wandering around the store, as we walked in not one of them said anything to us. We headed up to the front counter, on the other side was two associates, one was looking at a screen and the other tweaking a pair of glasses with a small tool, neither one of them looked up to greet us. We continued to stand there, with associates all around us, and yet not one said 'Hello!', so we left after about five minutes and felt disappointed at being ignored during the whole experience. Every other store in the mall was amazingly friendly when we walked in, so it was a shock to be invisible in this one.

I don't go to Fashion Valley too often but when I do I like to go in to this store. I've owned 2 pairs of glasses from here and I like it because the price is low and the styles are nice. However, it is noteworthy that I am never greeted nor helped. It wouldn't cause me to write a review over it, but I notice it because I might be browsing and the associate approaches each person in that section, except me. I am not sure why this is but it is always the same. It makes the in store experience uncomfortable. I don't know if warby parker is only interested in a certain kind of customer. But I've never been approached nor greeted at this location.

Great experience! Easy online scheduling for an optometry appointment to update my prescription. The doctor was super fast and personable. The equipment is top tier which made for a much more comfortable exam (no air puffs to my eyeballs!). The staff afterwards were super friendly and helpful. They helped with submitting a claim after checkout to my insurance which was one less step for me. And of course they gave me space to shop for my new frames and offered helpful feedback and recommendations. I highly recommend this location for all your eye health needs!

Incredibly simple and smooth process.
One of the employees helped me find all the frames in my size. As soon as I picked out my frames she verified my prescription, ordered my glasses and was able to file my insurance claim reimbursements for me right in the store. She was also able to use my FSA funds. I was in and out of the store in 10 minutes.
Only thing I would like to see is a quicker turnaround on delivery. I understand prescription lenses take time, but 14 days is a bit of a big pill to swallow when other glasses stores locally can do same day turnaround.

Quintin worked with me to help me find a pair of progressive glasses and a pair of sunglasses.
He was so informative and knowledgeable about the frames, sizing, pricing and had answer or options, for each question I asked.
He definitely made an effort to make sure I was taken care of and was very patient as well! He made the process of picking the perfect frames with a strong prescription and so many options, seem less challenging. I definitely appreciate his exceptional service, it's somewhat of a rarity in retail today.
