Comprehensive exams starting at $85
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $35)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

Got many pairs of glasses here over the years. They have many trendy and classic styles that I like. The staff is always attentive and helpful. I notice my lenses get noticeably scratched after a few years compared to other glasses I’ve bought but the lens replacement is also substantially less costly. It’s fun to stop by and browse their frames when I’m feeling like an accessory refresh.

Both workers in the store were very helpful and friendly. They helped me choose frames, tuned up my current glasses, and replaced a broken case. I have had my glasses made here for 10 years and continue to return to this company. I do go into a store instead of using their online service.

Not a great experience. We brought our kids here to order prescription glasses, and my wife and I clearly requested receipts showing our children’s names for proper insurance filing. Instead, the receipts listed my name, making them unusable for claim purposes.
To make matters worse, the phone number listed for the store goes unanswered, and the 1-888 customer service line has unreasonably long wait times. I’ve now had to email Warby Parker’s corporate support and am still waiting for a response.
For a company that specializes in prescription eyewear, failing to provide basic documentation in 2025 is simply unacceptable. Unless this issue is corrected, I have no reason to return—other than to return the glasses.

Manager, an older lady, is rude and obnoxious. When an assistant suggested I approach the manager to get a measurement of my head width to understand what size (width) frames I will need, I approached the manger. When asked whether I could be measured, her snooty reply "yes, it is theoretically possible." When pressed further, she roughly says "but we don't normally like to." Earlier, when I entered the store, asking for wider frames, she walked away saying, "take a look around.". I wish I had taken her name down

I had a pleasant experience at Warby Parkey. The salesperson greeted me as I entered the store and asked a couple of questions and directed me to the displays where I could find the right frames. She then walked away and I took my time checking out the frames. Finally I found one and the salesperson made eye contact and walked me to a table and went through the process to help me select the lenses and the options I had. A short streamlined process and a very pleasant experience and the price of my glasses was more than reasonable.

The customer service is a 10/10. When I walked in I was greeted then asked if there was something specific I needed. Given I have a low nose bridge I was looking for glasses with the nose pads. The employee, Domenic showed me what I was looking for but also asked questions about what I liked to help suggest frames. He also let me know some frames make glasses specifically for a low nose bridge, which I didn't know. After finding the frames I liked, the ordering process was quick and easy. If you’re looking for decent priced, but stylish frames I would recommend Warby Parker.

This is probably the best Warby Parker location in the Bay Area. I had an incredible experience at the Warby Parker store in Santana Row, and a huge part of that was thanks to their amazing store manager, Domenic Casil. Domenic was not only knowledgeable and professional, but also genuinely warm, helpful, and attentive throughout the entire process. The store was clean, well-organized, and had a great selection.
10/10 would recommend!

I purchased a new set of frames from the store across the street from the Santana Row store about a week ago. Very pleased with the look and feel of my new frames, but I noticed the frames would make a lot of noise when I cleaned them. The frames were rubbing on the lenses, somehow. So, I decided to bring them into the Santana Row location to get them fixed. Mimi and team were super helpful and told me they could fix it in-store and it would only be 15 minutes (It took way less than that, by the way) for the repair at no cost. They had me out and on my way in no time. Excellent customer service from the team at this location!

I visited today, and the staff were very kind and helpful as always. I checked in for a cleaning and adjustment of two of my glasses, both rose gold Ava frames. Mimi was very helpful and cleaned, adjusted and changed the nose pads on both glasses, and gave good advice on how to care for them. At no cost.
I've been visiting this store since 2018, and it's always been a great experience. The staff are awesome and I love my Ava glasses. Highly recommend.

I love shopping here. The selection is fantastic as well as the price point. The customer service is wonderful. They are friendly without being pushy. I went through the home try-on program and pick 2 frames out of 5 candidates. I then went to the store with my doctor's prescriptions for 2 pairs of glasses. In store, they only have one pair of frame that I wanted. The other pair they'll have to order for me. So, for this pair I used a different color frame for all the measurements. No problem there. I received both pairs of glasses just exactly as expected. I really like the home try-on program. It gave me a much relaxed pace to pick a frame out of hundreds in the online store. When I was in the Santana store, I was greeted by an older sales lady. She is not very keen on technology but very friendly and helpful. Other staff members in the store were very quick to help her with the technical issues. Overall, I was very happy to placed my orders through the lady. The end result is exactly as expected down by the book. I still have some questions that I need to go back to the store and ask. But that may be just because I'm a new progressive lenses user. BTW, WarbyParker don't do bifocals.
