Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

Dylan was great! The lens from my eyeglasses had fallen out because the screw holding it was missing. Dylan helped find a replacement right sized screw, fitted it in expertly, trimming off the excess length and within 5 minutes, my glasses were as good as new! MANY Thanks to Dylan!! TRULY appreciate his professionalism, expertise and very friendly and helpful attitude!!

I was helped by three different people and they all offered excellent customer service. One of them recommended a frame I hadn't considered and I ended up loving them. I walked out with the perfect two pairs of glasses which was what I was hoping for! I'd for sure shop at this location again.

The staff who assisted me, and the doctor who examined me, were all wonderful, friendly, and extremely capable/competent. I felt welcome and comfortable. I went to WB because people told they you have great frames at reasonable prices. They absolutely do! So between the great customer service experience and WB's great products, I'll be going back every year for an eye exam, and once every few years, for a new pair of glasses. Love Family Optical of Danville! My technician, John helped me with, not only, precise vision, but beautiful aesthetic choices and really cute/classy frames. I didn’t feel nerdy in my new glasses, I felt like I chose the perfect pair of matching earrings for my most important day. Actual clear vision with style is every girl’s (guys too) wish!
In addition, my glasses arrived WAY sooner than expected and customer service was exceptional. It helps they have a bowl of bazooka gum on hand while you’re browsing options and trying on new fits.
Highly recommend!

A nice clean space with plenty of options. The young gentlemen with the longish, shoulder length hair and glasses was extremely helpful and knew a lot about all of the products. He gave wonderful advice on sizing and shapes, suggesting a lot of options that I loved. I had an hard time deciding, but eventually we found the perfect frame. He even sent the insurance reimbursement form for me since I was out of network. Overall great experience at this store!! Highly recommend.
