We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

I've had two experiences here. First when I went in for an eye exam (which was wonderful) and again when I wanted to exchange a pair of glasses that didn't quite work for me.
Not only was it hassle free, but the staff was friendly, helpful, and made it a great experience. I cannot highly recommend this location enough!

I got some glasses the other day and one of the workers named Elie was amazing and super helpful. I was indecisive about my choice at first and she gave me feedback on what she thought fit my face and head best which was so refreshing because she actually knew what she was talking about. The eye doctor is openly unpleasant, which would almost be forgivable if the staff could compensate, which they can’t. Save yourself the waste of time and don’t give this chain your business. Support a local business instead: Montana Optometry right across the street is excellent!

I got an eye exam and picked some frames (Bodie) here a couple weeks ago. When they arrived in the mail, I really struggled with the lenses (first time getting progressives) and the fit of the frames. This is maybe more a review of the company than the location (though the location is really nice and all the employees are attentive and friendly!)—Warby switched the lenses for me, then I went back to the Montana store and they adjusted the frames. Very easy, I was greeted immediately and asked what I needed when I entered the store. However, in the end, they were just not the right frames for me, fit-wise, even with the adjustment (my head’s just too dang big for the frames I picked). Warby (the company) was super responsive and is letting me return them/get a refund with no issues whatsoever. I will go back to Montana and try again with different frames because it has all been a really good experience (even though I picked the wrong glasses—so hard to get it right)!
