Wish I could give 10 stars! Long story, but I'm from out of town and decided to try to find new prescription glasses while I'd have a vast selection in the city. I went to Pearle, Lenscrafters, and 4 other stores. NONE of them compare to the level of service and personalization you get from Arec at Warby Parker.
I felt terrible. I hit bad traffic and arrived 10 minutes before close (supposed to be there an hour before, unfortunately). I was the most welcomed at any store I've ever been to arriving minutes before they close....when does that happen? I thought I'd get rushed and try on frames as fast I could and head out... surprise #2. Arec gave me the rundown of how the frames were organized and how everything worked (price of the lenses is included on the tag below the glasses, how they have several more colors of the frames so to look at frames more than color as he had more.)
He picked out a 15 or so to try on. He was so knowledgeable about when I didn't like a frame he could describe why... which I could never put a finger on (why thr bridges didn't work, how high,
/low they fit on my face, my face countour vs. the glasses and what is complimentary.. He let me "own" my experience. Talk about the ultimate customer experience... seriously.
I've been looking for new frames for a long time. I just kept reordering the same ones over as I couldn't find anything better. I swear Arec has superpowers. I'd say what I liked or didn't like about a frame. He'd listen and hone in and kept narrowing, then he brought out a color in the frame I liked I never would have chosen. I absolutely love them! I felt like it was too good to be true, but he articulated the strong points on why I liked them, and it made sense. I didn't want to make a rash decision, but everything he said made perfect sense on why I liked them.
I usually send pics to my husband and daughter and didn't even wait for their opinion. My daughter ended up calling asking which ones I picked and she absolutely agreed they were the ones to choose. I liked my #2 style so much and with their transition technology, I ended up getting a second pair! An hour after close, he still took time it to show me what the 2nd pair would like like in sunglasses. He also showed me what the blue light blocking looked like with a UV flashlight on the new pair...then tried my current ones and my current were 3 times the price, less than 2 years old and blue light was I'd say less than half of the new ones. I was just going to buy the frames when I came in, but after seeing also that even if you choose blue light, the lenses don't have any glare I just had to order lenses too. The best one-stop shopping experience for glasses I've ever had.
Service 10+ star rating
Value 10
Attention to detail in getting exactly what you want, how you want it = priceless
Adding up my 2 pairs of glasses with everything was $400 less than my pair I was wearing. With that, I'm honestly considering another round trip flight for $200 and a night's hotel when I need glasses again!
Side note I'm hoping if I open up a second business that requires customer service, I can get Arec to come work for me. He is a diamond in the rough. I'm still in awe this level of service exists at the price, especially!!!
To top it all off, he took the time to give me restaurant recommendations that were fantastic. Can't thank you enough, Arec!
