Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

I love my Warby Parker glasses. I have been wearing them for years. On a whim, I popped into the Danbury store to see if they can fix my broken prescription sunglasses before my vacation. It was a busy Saturday but less than 15 minutes later, I walked out of the store with a working pair of sunglasses. The staff was courteous and helpful. I would highly recommend working with warby and consider an in person visit.

I looked at glasses at my eye doctors and was turned off because the glasses were super expensive. I stopped in at Warby Parker and found several glasses that I liked. I was uncertain about one pair but The two employees I interacted with were super nice and honest. I actually ended up buying two pairs! That ended up being cheaper than a single pair at my doctors office. I was super happy with my purchase and the two employees were fun and easy to talk to.

Went to pick out new frames after exam. We had previously used the location at the Westchester Mall and a good experience so went to new store in Danbury since that’s where we live. We met Lindsey who walked us through everything and was super friendly and knowledgeable. It was an amazing experience. When you go make sure you get Lindsey to assist you.

Wonderful selection and amazing prices for frames.
I LOVE that they donate a pair for each pair purchased.. and the staff are wonderful.
I have a very complex prescription, however, I wear prisms, and they were unable to fill it there. I purchased my frames and they sent me right down to another optician on the first floor who was able to make the lenses I need. I'd have loved it if I could have done the whole transaction, with them but they were extremely helpful

Lindsay was very helpful, and took the time to tighten 2 pairs of glasses each for me and my Mother. She checked each pair to make sure they fit properly, and explained what type of glasses my Mom should get to update her old pair. I have been buying Warby Parker glasses for years and was very excited to have a local store. The store itself is nicely laid out and beautifully decorated. I went on a lunch break and was greeted immediately. The person referred me to someone who could answer my questions a bit better (they were newer). This person was still very helpful and checked on me intermittently. I was helped after by Lindsey. She was very patient, answered all of my questions, was very personable, and gave me honest feedback (Very appreciated!) I purchased 2 pairs and the process was super easy and I was done on time. I never felt pressure to buy anything or to upgrade. It was a great experience and I can’t wait to wear my new glasses.
