Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

Contact lens buyers beware:
Associates in store will push and encourage you to purchase a year supply of lenses from them because of the current $350 rebate available from Acuvue. Do not fall for the scam! Warby Parker customer service and Acuvue have both confirmed after the fact that contacts purchased at Warby Parker are NOT eligible for the rebate, even though they have the flyers with rebate instructions to hand you in store. You will not get the rebate!
2 stars because I do like my new glasses. But if anyone has a recommendation for a trustworthy locally-owned optometrist please HMU

I am going there for my glasses and they are very good for it. However this year I decided to book an eye exam. Maybe I did not read well their website but when I arrived for the check-in they told me I have to do the dilation ( after your vision is blurry for hours) or the retinal imaging and pay $35 extra ( for the retinal imagingI). I was surprised and I prefer to be aware before going there. I felt pressured and decided to cancel the appointment. It s not necessary the $35 extra it s more the fact that I was not aware before coming.

Store staff and doctor are all professional, friendly, and efficient. They personify customer service. The store is clean, welcoming, and pleasant to shop in. I appreciated that they keep good records of past prescriptions and purchases, and even more I appreciate that they can do a quick lookup of insurance benefits and apply them at the point of purchase. Warby-Parker has figured this out and offers a great eye exam and glasses-shopping experience.

WOW--what can I say? The BEST.
First and foremost, I love the product. It took me maybe five minutes to find the perfect pair of glasses, and the ordering process was even faster.
But most importantly, the staff at Warby Parker Dupont Circle were absolutely incredible--Dallis, Lucy, and Melinda--friendly, warm, and genuinely wonderful to my dog. Butters was treated like a true VIP… and was even able to try on a pair of glasses himself.

After many positive experiences I figured it is about time I leave a review. Good reviews are just as important as bad ones.
Well, this is hands down the best glasses store in the District. Staff are always so warm, helpful, and attentive- even on a busy day when it is freezing outside like today. I love how fast they are checking my insurance and ordering, and never feel rushed picking out frames.
There is a good selection of affordable, durable frames that rotates often. I recommend to all of my friends and love that I don't have to worry about accidentally getting the same pair. Thanks WP Dupont team!
