Our video-assisted exams are performed by a panel of state licensed remote doctors. An in-person optometric assistant will perform eye tests to assess your vision, and then one of our remote doctors will video call in to the exam room to complete your exam

Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
The well-known portion of an eye exam where you read from a chart of progressively shrinking letters until they're too small to see
The part of the exam that determines your prescription for corrective lenses (if you need them)
A screening for issues like glaucoma and cataracts, and for signs of other health conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and more
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Insurance, FSA, and HSA
Whether we’re in- or out-of-network with your carrier, you can use vision insurance to save at Warby Parker . (We accept FSA and HSA, too!)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

Went a few months ago to get glasses for my husband. Nikia made sure they were in the store before we got out of DC. Almost a year later, both lenses and frame are still intact. My husband is visually impaired so good quality and thin lenses are really important- this is the place to go!

The Union Market location was great. The staff on 10/27 were amazing (I forgot their names). Very helpful and knowledgeable. I went in thinking I needed regular glasses and sunglasses but we talked over the options and went with the transition lenses. 30 day return/exchange made the decision simple. Would recommend .

I had a great experience here. I got an eye exam from Dr Ali. Big plus: they don’t do the air-puff machine and you can skip dilation if you pay $35 for their fancy eye camera. Skipping both of those things was a relief. Dr Ali is kind, efficient, and thorough. Then Christopher helped me find a nice affordable pair of glasses. They have a selection of 100 pairs (ish) at price points between $95-195 (total price including the prescription lenses and frames!). I got a lovely pair and it’ll be delivered to be in two weeks via snail mail. In total I paid $275 for the lens exam ($95), the frames & lenses ($95), a blue screen protector ($50) and the $35 fancy eye camera analysis. It was a very smooth process and took about an hour from my arrival to my happy departure!

I had scratched my lenses and paid to have the lens replaced. It was shipped to their factory and for two weeks the status said “building frames”. Well they had the original frames and new ones were not needed. So I canceled the order and asked to have my glasses returned.
Instead of returning them they destroyed them and offered a $50 discount to buy new ones. I will never purchase again from this firm.
UPDATE: Corporate did, in fact, reach out to me and addressed the issue even going above and beyond to make things right. Tyler's actions were prompt and impressive. I'm back in the fold :).
