Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

I had an incredible experience at the Warby Parker on Las Olas! My partner and I went in looking for new frames, and Caroline, Kathy, and Brooke were absolutely wonderful. They were so patient and helpful, specifically making sure we found the perfect styles and the correct sizes for our faces. They turned what can sometimes be a chore into a really fun afternoon. We both walked out incredibly happy with our choices. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend this store!! The team and the products are top-tier!!!

So beyond helpful! We were warmly greeted by three associates that immediately welcomed us in, and offered their assistance. I wasn’t used to this, since coming from Boston, as we would have to actively seek out help from those associates. No shade, but it’s the honest truth. Might be a culture thing, but alas!
Now, back to this location: Caroline performed “surgery” (haha) on my glasses and to my surprise, she (my glasses) was able to resurrected — huge success in my book. She was super honest and knowledgeable about the glasses and what realistic support they could offer. It was great schmoozing with her as she revived (LOL) my glasses, and also tightened the arms of three more frames we brought in. 10/10 experience and will most definitely be back to get another pair soon!

Longtime Customer - Serious Quality & Service Issues at Florida Locations
Hi Warby Parker Team,
I’ve been a loyal customer for 8 years with 8 pairs purchased. My first two pairs from your Columbus Circle NYC store were perfect — knowledgeable staff, great service.
Unfortunately, my recent experiences at your Florida stores have been the opposite:
1. Las Olas, Fort Lauderdale: The in-house optometrist gave me an incorrect prescription. The lens measurements were also wrong. After a 2-week wait, the glasses were unusably blurry. A second doctor gave me a completely different, correct prescription.
2. Store manager response: She reordered the glasses but wasn’t genuinely apologetic and dismissed the issue. When I asked to expedite, I was told “they were too busy and I’ll get them when I get them.” If I were in her position, I’d be mortified and rushing the fix.
3. Pattern of issues: I had similar mistakes at the Coconut Grove Miami store. Customer service even told me they’ve heard of issues with Florida locations.
I love Warby Parker’s mission, but these errors are costly for customers. For the price point, accuracy and service should be non-negotiable. I also now recommend friends see an outside ophthalmologist vs. using in-store exams.

Aileen is a god-send. She helped me soooo much with glasses selection and most importantly with my insurance filing. She’s such a delight and breath of fresh air. Dr Thomas is so kind and educated me so much in a short time. I have been a loyal customer for a few years and this morning the greeting and customer service I received has convinced me to take my business elsewhere. The 5 min late policy considering the location is very rigid. I made the mistake of thinking loyalty to a business held any value in this day and age.

Long-time customer here. I’ve spent thousands of dollars at this store over the years on contacts and glasses, and until now my experiences had mostly been positive. Unfortunately, my last visit completely changed that.
I arrived barely five minutes late to my appointment, and instead of handling the situation professionally, the front desk staff immediately acted as if they “couldn’t find me.” It was very obvious that they had already given my exam slot to someone else and were trying to cover it up rather than simply acknowledging what happened.
For context: people have lives. Try juggling three jobs, two kids, and a packed schedule, all while rearranging your day just to make time for an eye exam that you’re required to do every year just to update a prescription.
The most disappointing part wasn’t even the scheduling issue — mistakes happen. It was the complete lack of accountability. The two employees at the front desk just kept repeating that they couldn’t locate my appointment instead of taking ownership of the situation.
Ironically, the only person who showed any professionalism was the employee working in the back (I believe she may have been the optician). She was the only one who actually apologized and acknowledged the mistake, which I genuinely appreciated.
I chose not to cause a scene or ruin anyone else’s visit, so I quietly left and later filed a complaint by phone. The resolution they offered? A $50 discount. That’s honestly insulting considering I routinely spend $1,000–$2,000 per visit between contacts and glasses.
This experience made it very clear how little they value long-term customers.
After years of loyalty, I won’t be returning. And I’ll absolutely be letting others know about how this store treats its customers when something goes wrong.
