Comprehensive exams starting at $85
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $35)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

I went in and couldn't access my favorites on my phone. The 2 staff working found both frames just based on description of what I was looking at online. They were knowledgeable in the products available and answered every question about lenses, insurance and provided me with a detailed breakdown of pricing for everything.

Wasted my time. I filled out that I have an eye condition prior to my appointment and I showed up to my appointment 10 minutes early.
15 minutes after my appointment time, I was informed that because of my eye condition, and because there isn't a Dr. onsite, they do televisits, I would not be able to complete my eye checkup. Would have saved me a lot of time if they had noticed on my paperwork prior to me driving across town and then sitting in the store for almost 1/2 hour.

The test went comfortably and everyone was so welcoming and helpful. After the test, one of the associates had glasses picked out that I might like.. I wasn't expecting that- she should be a personal stylist- she picked out exactly the glasses I would have picked for myself and I chose the first pair I tried on. Seriously, they're doing amazing in their work over there

They take advantage of you unknowing college students. Charging well above what insurance covers despite full exam coverage. They convinced a vulnerable college student who's never used any contacts to order contacts before even testing out the fit and brand for a few days as is standard. They charge above and beyond the retail price.

They completely took advantage of my 18 year old daughter. Charged 80 dollars over the amount out insurance paid. I paid zero last week for the same services at another eye doctor. She has never worn contacts before and they convinced her to buy a 6 month completely overpriced supply of contacts before knowing if she would like the brand or even like wearing contacts. I've worn contacts for most of my life and never had an eye doctor pressure me into buying contacts I've never tried before. They saw a kid and took advantage.

This was my second time ordering from Warby Parker, but my first time in a store. The associates there were all so helpful, welcoming, and accommodating. I came in with the intention of buying two new pairs of glasses, but I also brought in my older WP pair to be repaired because a screw had gotten loose.
No questions asked, they repaired my old pair while I shopped for my new pairs. The associate who helped me (I'm sorry I can't remember their name) was really bubbly, and I loved trying things out with them. One of the reasons that I wanted a store experience was because I specifically wanted second opinions about whether something looked good and to have a sounding board about my thoughts. They definitely took in my opinions and directions about what I wanted (I wanted gold hardware so they nixed all the silver, I didn't want sunglasses so they didn't show me those options, etc etc) The associate was that and more and they picked both pairs that I ended up going with. I haven't received my order yet, but I was so happy with the in-store experience and wanted to highlight that.
