Dr. Andreea Mocanu
Introduction
Dr. Andreea Mocanu is a state-licensed optometrist who owns and operates her own practice independently from Warby Parker (you can find it in the store). Dr. Mocanu graduated from Nova Southeastern University on 2007. In her downtime, Dr. Mocanu enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and exploring different cuisines.
With a focus on primary care optometry, our doctors use cutting-edge technology and clinical expertise to create a supportive, eye care environment—prescribing eyeglasses, fitting contact lenses, evaluating eye health, and more for patients ages 4 and up.
Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

I was impressed with my initial visit. Wynn was knowledgeable and professional. I picked out a frame, completed the required paperwork, and Wynn set up an appointment for an eye exam. Later they sent me confirmation which stated if I was more than 5 minutes late, they reserved the right to not see me.
Unfortunately, it was all downhill from there. When I returned for my appointment they were unorganized and inept. First, they insisted I completed the online form again because they said there were some additional questions and it all must be redone. I took note that the online form stated "I WAS given a prescription" and this was to be completed BEFORE I was even given the exam. They seemed very behind on the appointments but when I initially asked they assured me I would be seen promptly. Finally, after seeing others were ahead of me, I gave up and left. In the end, I had no confidence they could do a good exam and get me a quality pair of glasses.

Totally unrealistic with their time slots. I was exactly 10 min late to my appointment and they said they couldn’t see me (pun not intended) I tried to both call and send a text to advise I was going to be a few minutes late but I didn’t hear back from anyone. However when I got there they advised they had to cancel my appointment because they had another exam after mine. In a perfect world I get it, however in St Johns traffic, I do not. Extremely inconvenient and frustrating

How convenient! We were helped right away, prescription already in hand. It was the easiest process of choosing frames I loved and ordering the correct lenses for my prescription strength. Wide variety of options as well. The customer service was fantastic; bonus points for the extra friendliness and patience extended to my 3 year old that was with me. Will absolutely be ordering from Warby Parker again!

I just relocated to Florida and drove 30+ minutes to this location for my appointment. Upon my arrival, J______ informed me that there was an issue with the computer system and as a result, he wasn't able to confirm my insurance information. He stated that this could take 24 hours, but that he would call me. Given the fact that I drove over 30 minutes for this appointment and was inconvenienced when I arrived due to an inoperable computer system, the appropriate thing for the attendant to do was to call, as he said he would. It is now five days later and I have yet to receive a call. Warby Parker at St. John Center has proven that they are unable to work at a level of professionalism needed to earn my business. Recommendation denied.

The people who helped me were so kind and patient as it took a long time to verify one of my insurance benefits. The gentleman stayed with through my phone calls as I was transferred 5 times to different departments. He then made sure that everything was taken care of with a continued smile on his face. Great customer service and eye glass selection.

This could have been a great experience. I came in looking for the prescription area and asked two employees for help, but the interaction felt unwelcoming and dismissive. I was also surprised to overhear a comment suggesting I had been rude, which wasn’t the case.
The store itself is very nice, and the prices are excellent—that’s the main reason I completed my purchase. However, the customer service left a negative impression, and I wouldn’t return. I usually go to LensCrafters but wanted to try something new.

I don't know the sweet lady's name that help my daughter with adjustments twice this weekend. Such a refreshing experience. I appreciate her Customer Service expertise. Awesome representation for Warby Parker. Thank you for your help and service.

The pricing for an exam online will not be honored in the store.
It's a bait and switch.
The people at the store are nice and I don't blame them - but Corporate website is not trustworthy.
The website says "Digital retinal imaging is an additional $39 for in-person eye exams but included in the cost for video-assisted eye exams."
But the store doesn't honor this. It's annoying.
