Dr. Andreea Mocanu
Introduction
Dr. Andreea Mocanu is a state-licensed optometrist who owns and operates her own practice independently from Warby Parker (you can find it in the store). Dr. Mocanu graduated from Nova Southeastern University on 2007. In her downtime, Dr. Mocanu enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and exploring different cuisines.
With a focus on primary care optometry, our doctors use cutting-edge technology and clinical expertise to create a supportive, eye care environment—prescribing eyeglasses, fitting contact lenses, evaluating eye health, and more for patients ages 4 and up.
Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

This could have been a great experience. I came in looking for the prescription area and asked two employees for help, but the interaction felt unwelcoming and dismissive. I was also surprised to overhear a comment suggesting I had been rude, which wasn’t the case.
The store itself is very nice, and the prices are excellent—that’s the main reason I completed my purchase. However, the customer service left a negative impression, and I wouldn’t return. I usually go to LensCrafters but wanted to try something new.

The pricing for an exam online will not be honored in the store.
It's a bait and switch.
The people at the store are nice and I don't blame them - but Corporate website is not trustworthy.
The website says "Digital retinal imaging is an additional $39 for in-person eye exams but included in the cost for video-assisted eye exams."
But the store doesn't honor this. It's annoying.

It was an easy and care free experience. The frame setup in the store was excellent and provided less stress when choosing my frames. No pressure and no hassle just a truly ease of making a purchase start to finish. I would go back to Warby Parker and I would definitely recommend.

As a lifelong wearer of spectacles I am accustomed to a charismatic salesperson that would be able to pick several frame options based on the shape of my face. This establishment did not offer any of the sort. If you are into searching on your own and FAFO type vibes this is the place for you.
Otherwise look elsewhere 😉

Buying glasses at this location was so easy. Robin was very helpful and kind. I really like how no one pushed me to buy anything and that I could ask for help and opinions when needed. The process was quick and easy. My local optometrist got angry with me for not purchasing their glasses so I'm happy I found Warby Parker and will be going here from now on.

Katelyn was more helpful than I could have hoped for. Very professional and she fixed my glasses which had the nose piece backwards which was an oversight by other eyeglass professionals and shamefully, myself.
