Dr. Marie Tartibi
Introduction
Dr. Marie Tartibi graduated from the New England College of Optometry (NECO) in 1991. In addition to her optometry degree, she completed a residency at Magruder Eye Institute and specialized in geriatric eye care and ocular disease. She is proud to be a member of the American Optometric Association. As a Florida native (fun fact: she graduated from Winter Park High School), she is grateful to be practicing close to her hometown community. In her downtime, Dr. Tartibi enjoys traveling, reading, and gardening.

Dr. Xiaofeng Tao graduated from the Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in 2024. He is proud to be a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), the Florida Optometric Association (FOA), and The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO). In his downtime, Dr. Tao enjoys hiking.

Dr. Zackery Martin is a state-licensed optometrist who graduated from the Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in 2021. Specializing in primary care optometry, Dr. Martin uses cutting-edge technology and clinical expertise to perform a comprehensive eye health exam—prescribing eyeglasses, fitting contact lenses, evaluating eye health, and more for patients ages 4 and up.

We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
What is included in a comprehensive eye exam?
All comprehensive eye exams include a eye health check where the doctor will make sure your eyes are happy and healthy
Visual Acuity Test
The well-known portion of an eye exam where you read from a chart of progressively shrinking letters until they're too small to see
Refraction
The part of the exam that determines your prescription for corrective lenses (if you need them)
Eye health check
A screening for issues like glaucoma and cataracts, and for signs of other health conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and more
Retinal Imaging
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)

It's best to have this information handy:
- A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
- An overview of your and your family's medical history
- A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
- Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
- Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.
