Dr. Theodore Hesterman
Introduction
Dr. Theodore Hesterman is a state-licensed optometrist who graduated from the Indiana University School of Optometry in 2022. Specializing in primary care optometry, Dr. Hesterman uses cutting-edge technology and clinical expertise to perform a comprehensive eye health exam—prescribing eyeglasses, fitting contact lenses, evaluating eye health, and more for patients ages 4 and up.

Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $35)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

Great frames and customer service. They offer eye exams and specialty glasses. We were able to be in and out in 30 minutes. The window sign says they open at 11am but they actually open at 10am.

WARNING ⚠️ , This location will not take a gift card for exams, although other locations apparently will and the gift card had no disclaimer about it. The cards arr then none refundable so if you spent $300 trying to give someone the gift of new glasses and exams, they will then have to pay out of pocket to be granted access to use the already purchased gift card to buy the glasses that they want. Negating the need to use a "Warby Parker gift card" just buy them a prepaid visa one so they can add it to thier phone instead of this trash trap.

I used to buy my Warby Parker glasses strictly online, but the staff is so friendly at this location I would rather go to the store. This is the second pair I’ve purchased in store and both times the process was seamless. Vince helped me order some new glasses the other day and he was a pleasure to work with. He gave me his honest opinion which really helped me make my final decision. My glasses arrived to my home a few days later and where a little tight. I took them up to the store and they were adjusted for free in a matter of minutes. I highly recommend checking out this location.

So I’ve purchased glasses from them for the last few prescription changes. I love their mission statement, their employees, and the quality of the glasses. I’ve never had an issue with having to repair my glasses until now. In my 30 plus years of wearing glasses I have never needed to use the replacement part for the lenses or frames. I’m honestly shocked at their policy when it comes to replacing scratched lenses. I called to find out the process and I was told I have to turn in my glasses for them to replace the lenses and that it could take up to 30 days for the replacement to be returned! I don’t have another pair where I can give up the ones I have on now. And 30 days? That’s ludicrous. I’m sorry to say that I won’t be able to support this company again.

Been shopping Warby for years but was my first time getting an in person exam in store. Highly recommend the team and doctor at International Plaza, everything from the store team being welcoming and helpful as soon as we stepped foot in the door, to the eye technician being friendly and efficient, as well as Dr. Hesterman being professional, knowledgeable and thorough throughout exam. Convenience of trying on frames and ordering in store after exam was exactly what I was hoping for! Store, environment & staff were all top notch!
