Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

Been a Warby Parker customer for 8 years and have always had good service but the Hyde Park location was somehow even better than normal! The associates were helpful, patient, remembered me coming in a few days before my appt to look at frames and had noted it for when I came back. Every single person I worked with was beyond great!
Got an eye exam, new pair of glasses (thanks for the help deciding on frames too!), and got my current glasses fixed in the meantime. Will absolutely be back!
Also a big fan of warby submitting out of network reimbursement paperwork for me for VSP!

Had an awful experience at this location. I was charged $50 for polarization when I wasn’t offered this at all or explained what it was, and I wasn’t offered blue light filter which I had expressed interest in. The guy also ordered the wrong glasses for me and had to change it afterwards when I noticed. I felt rushed and completely uncared for. I wouldn’t recommend this location. Customer service wouldn’t refund me either.

I was in Hyde Park and my boyfriend and I stopped in to see if they could help fix the nose piece on his sunglasses. Multiple employees greeted us right away and asked how they could help. They were able to fix them quickly and didn’t charge anything. Great store and excellent service!

I had an amazing experience with Warby Parker Hyde Park!! Temo greeted me as soon as I entered the store. The store was very busy he assured me he would be right with me. He allowed me time to walk around the store and pick out my favs. Then his associate Vince saw my style and offered to select some additional products for me to try on.

Amber, Marcy, and the entire staff at this Warby Parker absolutely knocked it out of the park. From the moment I walked in, the experience felt welcoming, organized, and genuinely customer-first. The staff was warm and welcoming from the moment I walked in the door. They listened, reviewed my prescription and suggested which frames to try on first, answered my questions and I did not feel rushed. They are out of network for my insurance and explained that i will receive an itemized receipt to submit to my insurance. Even before i am reimbursed by my insurance for a small portion of the total bill, they were a only a little more than half of the price i was quoted at the eye doctors office. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, great atmosphere and lower cost. I highly recommend them!
