Dr. Marcy McKibbin
Introduction
Dr. Marcy McKibbin is a state-licensed optometrist who graduated from the Southern College of Optometry in 2011. Specializing in primary care optometry, Dr. McKibbin uses cutting-edge technology and clinical expertise to perform a comprehensive eye health exam—prescribing eyeglasses, fitting contact lenses, evaluating eye health, and more for patients ages 4 and up.

Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $35)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

I went to this location today (1/19/26, around 1:45/1:50pm ish) to browse eyeglass frames as I had recently had an eye exam (not at WP) and was looking for an additional frame for myself. When I entered the store, there were a good number of people inside. As I looked around, I could hear associates going up to different people asking those people if they could assist and to let them (the associates) know if those people needed anything. I continued browsing, and no one asked if I needed help. Even as the number of people in the store dwindled, still no one approached me. Finally after about 10-12 minutes as I was in the back of the store, a young lady who looked to be Latino or Hispanic (I only use those descriptors because I didn’t ask her name), asked if I was “still alright” and did I need anything. I told her no because I had been in the store a considerable amount of time at that point and none of the associates before then asked if I needed any help. Also at this point, it was literally maybe one other person in the store, they left, and I was the only one remaining. The one lone associate left on the sales floor (because the rest disappeared) seemed to avoid my proximity intentionally. Not sure whether it was any of my intrinsic physical characteristics that was the repellent, but the customer service was basically nonexistent. I didn’t feel comfortable at all. I eventually left after I got the display information on a couple of frames that I liked. I will research further online, but this in-person location (at least for me) was not it.☹️

Update: The remake of my prescription glasses arrived at the store (vs home as promised). Store emailed and said after careful review, the replacement was defective and 3rd make was ordered. Will be asking for a full refund.

Update: My prescription sunglasses were not made according to all the specs I paid for so they had to be reordered. This is not a reflection on the great local team. Called for a status update because it’s been weeks. CS lands in the Philippines. Wish companies would stop offshoring CS jobs. Ppl want local help. Anyhow, it’ll be a month before I receive my replacement pair. Hopefully they’re made correctly.

Great team at the MoG location; very welcoming, helpful, and knowledgeable. Adeline really helped us narrow down the best picks. The frames are unique and stylish. Price point is comparable to others in the area. Only downside is we could not use our vision insurance, VSP. That would’ve really topped the experience. 🙁

I went into this store and ask a simple yes or no question. The lady started rambling and taking abot stuff i didn't ask for. A discount. I never ask for a discount and told her I didn't want a discount and then she starts arguing with me about a discount again. All I wanted was to pay for a eye exam for my wife. Maybe she didn't like the way I looked or something. I have been busy working and haven't shaved if a few days. I went to a different place ask the same yes or no question and the lady was very nice and answer without arguing with me

Friendly and helpful staff, quick efficient process and great prices. I wear contacts and just needed a cheap pair of back up glasses. I went in fully prepared to be pressured into a bunch of extra expenses. There were a few options to add on if I chose to, but also no pressure.
