Dr. Joseph Donahue
Introduction
Dr. Joseph Donahue is a state-licensed optometrist who graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University (PCO) in 2005. Specializing in primary care optometry, Dr. Donahue uses cutting-edge technology and clinical expertise to perform a comprehensive eye health exam—prescribing eyeglasses, fitting contact lenses, evaluating eye health, and more for patients ages 4 and up.

Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

I appreciated all the different styles at this location. They were also having a spring special which made their already competitive prices very attractive. We came in to try some frames, got some measurements in, and bought online. Everyone on staff was very helpful.

Some people may have a good experience here but unfortunately I didn't; I felt lost the whole time. It just feel so chaotic and does not flow well😕 I usually pay nothing for vision exams, but because they were out-of-network, I had to pay $85. I have to do claim request which is extra work. I wish I had checked beforehand—make sure you verify your coverage, as you can’t assume a big brand like Warby Parker is in your network.
The doctor’s office is tucked in the back and doesn't feel like a separate, professional space like LensCrafters. The staff didn't seem to know what they were doing, and the prescription didn't give me any confidence. I ended up having to go back to my usual doctor to get it fixed. I’d heard good things, but this was a very nervous and disappointing experience for me. I wont go back...

I ordered 3 pairs, in person, at the store. The salesperson did not include "required measurements" so the order did not go through. No one informed me, found out by checking for order on the app. After 2 days of emails, chat texts, and phone calls they say they don't need the measurement for my order???? Horrible customer service in store and online.

I bought bifocal glasses and sunglasses at Warby Parker in Jordan Creek today. The eye exam went quickly and the optometrist answered all of my questions clearly. The retail service person, Meg, was very helpful and knowledgeable. She explained clearly all of the features that I could add to my glasses and checked my insurance which resulted in a $400 savings! I will definitely return to WP for my exam and glasses in the future.
