Introduction
Dr. Joseph Donahue is a state-licensed optometrist who graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University (PCO) in 2005. Specializing in primary care optometry, Dr. Donahue uses cutting-edge technology and clinical expertise to perform a comprehensive eye health exam—prescribing eyeglasses, fitting contact lenses, evaluating eye health, and more for patients ages 4 and up.

Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

I had some issues with a prescription from another place. Stopped in an their optometrist took a lot of time to speak with me about options/solutions.
Long story, but I eventually booked an appt with WP’s optometrist. And I was able to try and return glasses two different times before my third pair finally felt right.
Their return policy is amazing, which is important for such a specialized product.

I had an exam here because Warby Parker has been my source for glasses for years now and the location happened to coincide with some travel for a training event in the area. The optometrist is straightforward and plainspoken and was thoughtful in addressing my questions and my needs.
One slight warning: the Warby Parker website will allow you to book an appointment earlier than the mall hours. That's on Warby Parker and not on the location. Fortunately, I was able to rebook while inside the mall and before the store opened, so the only loss to me was a bit of time from showing up before opening hours.

The staff and the eye doctor were fantastic - very professional and personable and efficient. I am uninsured and tired of paying $600+ for new glasses. I saw the commercials on TV about $95 eyeglasses that include quite a few different add-ons. Unfortunately, that pricing doesn't include two of the add-ons I would have liked: progressive lens and blue light filter. By the time I added those features, the price for exam and glasses was going to be right around $600.

Don't go here unless you like the DMV atmosphere and if you like to waste your money. Too expensive, crowded, and the optometrist doesn't seem very knowledgeable.

This was my first in store experience with WP - I've ordered several pairs from them online over the years. My insurance coverage paid for my exam with the doctor onsite. He was friendly and professional and able to explain about the exam. After the exam, I worked with one of the providers to order a pair of glasses - even was able to purchase a brand new design. I'm looking forward to receiving my new glasses in about two weeks.
