Dr. Rabia Yaqub
Introduction
Dr. Rabia Yaqub is a state-licensed optometrist who graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in 2016. Specializing in primary care optometry, Dr. Yaqub uses cutting-edge technology and clinical expertise to perform a comprehensive eye health exam—prescribing eyeglasses, fitting contact lenses, evaluating eye health, and more for patients ages 4 and up.

Comprehensive exams starting at $85
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

The staff at the Andersonville location are kind and helpful, but the process of shopping with Warby Parker as a company/corporation is not great.
I did not receive email updates about my order and when I called customer service, I kept getting different information about the status of the order. There's no way to contact stores directly, which is frustrating. Overall, the cute glasses aren't worth the hassle.

I visited the Andersonville location yesterday looking for new glasses. I was helped by Kayla and she was amazing! This is the third time I've gone into the store and she has helped me each time. She has always gone above and beyond helping me choose the right pair of eyewear and I was so pleased with the last pair she helped me purchase that I specifically came in looking for
her this last visit. Wearing glasses with a complicated prescription herself, I felt
confident that she understood my prescription and they will be made made correctly the first time. She also has an artistic sensibility that I appreciate and she always helps pick out the best looking glasses for my face. She deserves a 10/10 and would recommend anyone shopping for glasses to go straight to her!

I've always had a good experience in the past. My eye exam with Dr. Rabia was great, and I'd definitely come back for an exam. The sales associate was very nice and helped me pick out frames and I tried on a pair and decided on them, only to find that they were discontinued. For the company in general, I've found that the glasses here have declined in quality, with too much fluctuation in style availability and the size differences between styles make it difficult to find the right pair, and they've gone up significantly in price. Their digital try on service is not an adequate replacement for the home try on service.

TLDR: Verify all prescription information is correct and downloadable prior to leaving the store. Fixing errors is a huge, time consuming hassle.
The provider wrote multiple scripts for new contact lenses to let me try them out and see what I liked best. Unfortunately, only one of those scripts is downloadable with a signature, and it's not the lens I liked best. The only solution to resolve this is to go back to the store and wait around for the optometrist to have time to talk between visits since there is no public number and the customer service line refuses to transfer calls. I shouldn't have to make a trip back and wait around for something that could be resolved with a phone call or email.

Unfortunately, both associates demonstrated unprofessional and discriminatory behavior during my visit. I was ready to make a purchase, and although they initially approached me, they repeatedly interrupted our interaction to assist white customers who entered the store afterward. Even when I was clearly prepared to check out, they prioritized those customers instead. The pattern was obvious and unacceptable. The sellers were a older lady and a younger woman with rounded glasses. I wasted a big time waiting.
