Introduction
Dr. Nitasha Merchant is a state-licensed optometrist who graduated from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico (IAUPR) in 2021. Specializing in primary care optometry, Dr. Merchant uses cutting-edge technology and clinical expertise to perform a comprehensive eye health exam—prescribing eyeglasses, fitting contact lenses, evaluating eye health, and more for patients ages 4 and up.
Dr. David Srednick
Introduction
Dr. David Srednick graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry (ICO) in 2009. He is proud to be a member of the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society and the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. As an Illinois native (fun fact: he graduated from Prospect High School), Dr. Srednick is grateful to be practicing close to his hometown community.

Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

I had such an amazing experience at the Warby Parker in Deerfield Square! From the second I walked in, the team made me feel welcomed, comfortable, and taken care of. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely excited to help. What stood out most was how personal the experience felt. The team didn’t just point me toward frames, they asked questions, gave honest feedback, explained my lens options clearly, and helped me find a pair that actually felt like me. I never felt rushed or pressured, even though the store was busy. The exam experience was smooth and easy, and the communication throughout the visit was excellent. Every person I interacted with seemed confident, kind, and happy to be there. You can tell this team really cares about the customer experience and takes pride in what they do.

I broke my glasses and came in to get help gluing them back together. I was warmly welcomed and helped. I forgot to get her name, but she unscrewed the side piece and set up a station for me to try to do my work.
It was very accommodating and I felt like her co-worker.
My attempt failed. Hanging my head, I was about to leave and Nick came over to see if he could help. He took the pieces in back and in 2 minutes they looked good as new:
Because they were. He gave me a demo frame and wished me a good day. He said there was no charge. I hope he doesn’t get in trouble for this!!! His (their actually) great service created a RAVING fan and the great word of mouth I will provide is worth the cost of the demo model.
Kudos to Nick and the team in Deerfield!!

The Warby Parker in Deerfield is very close to me. I like the fact that I can just walk across the street and get there without driving or taking public transportation.. The people there are so friendly and very knowledgeable and so willing to help you find the right glasses or contacts whatever that you like. I have been using Warby Parker now for two years and as far as I’m concerned, I will continue

I recently switched from my usual eye care provider to Warby Parker, and I am so glad I did! The entire experience was incredibly efficient and professional from start to finish. Dr. Srednick was very thorough and really took the time to get my prescription right. For the first time in a long while, I can actually see a lot better—the prescription is spot on. I’ve definitely found my new optometrist and would highly recommend them!
Would also like to add, ordering my new contacts and glasses right after my appointment was a breeze, and the staff was so helpful!

Staff here are super friendly, and after 8+ years as an online Warby Parker loyalist, I was pleasantly surprised to prefer the in store experience.
Staff are helpful and kind without being pushy or hovering. Even with a lot of people in the store at one point, they managed the flow of people really well, and you could tell everyone was getting their needs met.
We had a great time and specially Nicholas Elliot was notable, answering all our questions with kindness and patience. This seemed like a very well oiled machine and I left as a happy camper, can’t recommend enough.

A very good experience for our first time at Warby Parker. The customer representative suggested our daughter try the low bridge frames. Though I have researched low bridge frames for her in the past, I only found them online, and have never had a representative know about or offer this as an option. I’m really excited to see if this helps her glasses fit and stay up better.
