Dr. Nitasha Merchant
Introduction
Dr. Nitasha Merchant is a state-licensed optometrist who graduated from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico (IAUPR) in 2021. Specializing in primary care optometry, Dr. Merchant uses cutting-edge technology and clinical expertise to perform a comprehensive eye health exam—prescribing eyeglasses, fitting contact lenses, evaluating eye health, and more for patients ages 4 and up.

Comprehensive exams starting at $85
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $35)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

I had such a great experience at Warby Parker thanks to Dimitri. He greeted me right away in the kindest way. He was never overbearing and let me look around freely. He noticed I was gathering a ton of frames and offered to set them on the table, then helped me narrow things down so my daughter would not walk into thirty pairs waiting for her after her exam. He was amazing. So patient, thoughtful, and he had great feedback. He helped me pick not two but three pairs and then helped my daughter choose her glasses and sunglasses too.
He has a great eye for what works and what does not and somehow made the whole process fun. I am genuinely looking forward to picking out my yearly glasses now that I know Dimitri will be there to help. Wonderful experience from start to finish.

Extremely Impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. Was evaluated for multifocal contacts with an astigmatism correction, and the newest technology was available, and works great. Will definitely recommend to everyone I know, looking for glasses or contacts.

So glad WP has opened a store a few miles from our home. We were there for exams and new glasses. We were met by Dimitri who patiently waited whilst we wrestled with the worst United Healthcare Customer Service rep I have ever spoken to. The whole experience was seamless and Dimitri was able to guide us to our preferred choice of frames. I watched other customers come in for exams and adjustments and all were greeted and dealt with in a calm professional and respectful way. Thank you WP!

I had left my glasses in Italy and my daughter is sending them back to me. In process of delivery through FedEx they were held up in customs and required a ridiculous amount of paperwork that Warby needed to fill out. Warby opted to circumvent the hassle and is sending me a new pair no charge. That's understanding customer service and support.

I had been meaning to check out Warby Parker for a while but was under the impression they were expensive and bougy. I was wrong. The glasses are affordable!!!! But I wanted to give props to 2 individuals that made me return the next day and get an exam + glasses. John & Jenny. John greeted me and the first frames he picked, I ended up purchasing. Impressive. Jenny then took over and helped me by answering all of my questions. She was super helpful, engaging, and funny. I really enjoyed chatting with her and she is the main reason I returned the next day. I cannot wait for my glasses to arrive!!!!
***Sidenote-I told my husband about the store and when i came out of my exam he was in the store choosing frames!!! He also got an exam and purchased glasses, contacts, and sunglasses! Nice job Warby Deerfield!!!!!***

I walked in to a Warby Parker store in Deerfield Illinois. I had a pair of sunglasses with a broken nose piece. These were NOT WP glasses. The man behind the counter could not have been nicer or more professional. He replaced the broken nose piece and even the other one so they would match. He adjusted them so they fit well. When I asked for the bill he refused. I reiterated you solved my problem. You deserve to be compensated as a company. He again refused and asked as “compensation”, would I fill out this survey. He stated a positive review and word of mouth was more valuable and the monetary compensation.
This was my first interaction with Warby Parker. It feels like the company culture is truly client experience oriented. I thought I would share my experience.
