Comprehensive exams starting at $85
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $35)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

Warby Parker has a great selection of glasses. The doctors are there for the eye exam. Dr. Leonard was very professional and a pleasure to talk with In a friend of the store, When I finish the exam, there was a collection of frames that I have looked at prior to the eye exam Dawn helped me pick out The right frames From their collection and suggested a couple more frames as she met me and looked around the store at other frames. Dawn Was absolutely amazing to work with. Dan made it so much fun and had great suggestions. I will definitely be returning to that store and want to work With Dr. Leonard and Dawn. These are two of the pairs I purchased.

I would highly recommend against using warby parker in woodfield mall. Their optometrist is not comfortable or knowledgeable in adjusting eyeglasses. He gave me a line that he is trained and comfortable in adjusting warby parker glasses only. Never I have heard that from any other optometrist. Seems like either he was being lazy or truly not experienced.

Service is always very good here. The one star is for the upsell tactics in the eye exam. I had a retinal exam last year and said that I wanted to hold off this year. The associate told me I had to then get my eyes dilated to continue the appointment. And there was no other option. I was not in a position to get dilated so I had to do the retinal exam and pay separately. After investigating this was not true. Careful as this is a typical upsell tactic here. Very disappointed with the gal that worked with us as she seemed trustworthy but proved otherwise.

I used Warby Parker for the first time a few weeks ago. I ordered 5 frames online, but needed an exam. There was a Warby Parker optical store with eye doctors. I failed to get my optometrists name, but she was young (comparably to me). She was very pleasant and focused. Very detail oriented during the exam. I’ve warm glasses since the 8th grade and my son has an eye condition requiring an MD eye doctor. That said, I’ve been around. I was very pleased and impressed with the service and results.
Additionally, I showed an employee the frames I had identified from my home shopping experience and they had them in the store. So I just bought there for convenience, but this was very smooth as well. All around a great experience.

I purchased glasses in January and couldn't see far with them and they were blurred. Took them back and February and even had an eye exam. It's October and still having problems seeing out of them. I explained I have to wear my old glasses these glasses cost 600.00 with insurance. I was told you only paid $325.00 your insurance paid the rest. Just let your eyes adjust to them. I been trying to see for eight months finally switched back to my old glasses. Unfortunately my prescription doesn't expire until 2027 but the frames are great.

Excellent customer service. I had a few issues getting just the right frames and one pair came with a scratched lens, but Warby Parker was very accommodating. I've had to go in a few times to get the glasses adjusted just right. I really appreciate Lukas' patience with me. He listens, asks questions and really wants to make sure I'm comfortable with how the glasses fit. He is very good at his job. Everyone there is always very friendly and wants to ensure a positive customer experience.

* EDIT* I have to learn to wait before tooting horns .. only one pair delivered. 5 emails saying 'your order is on the way' ... but only about one pair and only one pair delivered. I have to call to find out that my 2nd pair had to be shipped somewhere else to be completed. That's fine - but where is that email? some kind of notification? I know this is not the Store's fault, so I wont change the store rating, but since everyone is 'review happy', might as well talk about the whole experience. *END EDIT* 10/7/25
