Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $35)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

Hours are wrong. Raced over here with broken frames before 7pm only to find out they were already closed. Hopefully they see this and update so someone else doesn’t have to drive one-handed in the dark while holding broken frames to their face

I visited for the first time recently. The staff greeted me kindly upon arrival and then gave me time and space to try frames on. They were very kind and complimentary to my three-year-old. I really appreciated their ability to be attentive without overbearing or pushy. The try-on and purchase process was super easy.

I really enjoyed the customer service I received from this location. Caden (I might be spelling it wrong I’m sorry lol) was very helpful, friendly and patient with me despite not wanting to change to different frames, since they do not carry the same ones anymore. I didn’t feel rushed or that I was a hassle to deal with me. Like I said, I wasn’t looking to get something different since my current glasses are my most precious ones. He was able to get me different styles to try on, and helped me decide which one I felt most comfortable with, reassured my selection and still provided more info on return policies should I change my mind. It was all overall a very pleasant experience. Thank you so much for helping me and for helping me find a good replacement for my glasses!

I want to give a big thank you to the entire Warby Parker Carmel team. Bre, Jessie, and Alicia were outstanding from start to finish. The experience naturally fell into three phases.
First, the welcome set the tone. I felt greeted, supported, and off to a great start the moment I walked in.
Second, my visit with Dr Cain was exceptional. As someone who had a detached retina sixteen years ago, eye appointments can feel intimidating. Dr Cain put all of those concerns at ease by explaining everything clearly, walking me through each step, and making sure I understood what was happening throughout the exam.
The third and final phase was the handoff back to the team to choose glasses. This part was just as smooth and helpful. Even though the entire process moved quickly, I never once felt rushed.
Overall, the experience was excellent. What could have been an anxiety filled appointment was made comfortable and stress free. Thank you again to the entire team.

I’d like to extend a huge thank you to Breanna for her outstanding service. I’m extremely particular about my vision and how my glasses fit, and I’ve returned several times for adjustments—she’s always been incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. When I had an issue with my previous frames, she immediately recognized the problem and fixed them on the spot. At larger chains, top-notch service isn’t always guaranteed, but that’s certainly not the case here. I’d nearly given up on Warby Parker, but thanks to Breanna, I’ll now be returning exclusively to her for all my glasses needs. 5 stars!!!
