We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
The well-known portion of an eye exam where you read from a chart of progressively shrinking letters until they're too small to see

A screening for issues like glaucoma and cataracts, and for signs of other health conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and more

Insurance, FSA, and HSA
Whether we’re in- or out-of-network with your carrier, you can use vision insurance to save at Warby Parker . (We accept FSA and HSA, too!)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

Love Warby Parker.
I lost my vision over the course of three days due to a misdiagnosed eye disease and was getting severe migraines from my rapid change in vision. I’d never had eye problems before so I didn’t have vision insurance. Thankfully Warby Parker’s prices were incredibly affordable!
I went into the store, tried on literally every pair of glasses with a very friendly associate who was determined that I find a pair that I like, and ordered them through the app all within an hour. I paid for the upgraded shipping and got them within 3 days without breaking the bank. Very happy with my experience!
Bonus that their designs are super nice and they don’t up charge for ridiculous designer frames. I’m not paying an extra $300 so something on my face can say Brooks Brothers or Kate Spade... I just wanted to be able to see better!

I was able to schedule a same-day appointment after work and complete my eye exam and frame selection in just 25 minutes. Ian was amazing! He even popped the lenses out of a pair of sunglasses so I could see what they’d look like with a normal prescription, such a creative touch. He helped me find exactly what I wanted, including options I might not have chosen on my own. Everything went smoothly through insurance and the entire process was incredibly easy.

Came here after it took forever to make an appointment with MGH to get my eyes checked. I was able to get appointment that week - the process at WP was super quick and everyone was extremely friendly. They check to see if your insurance can help reduce the costs without you even asking. Was able to complete my check up and order new contacts, while Charlestown MGH community center has yet to still get back to me.
Also shout out to Zoe for being so warm and friendly!

Had a good experience buying a new frame. I wanted to buy a specific type of a frame and they were helping and attentive. They have quite a lot of choices you can try on. It is located in the 2nd floor.

Warby Parker is right next to Thinking Cup/Indochino. There’s just a door with the number “83.” Walk in and head to the second floor. Hard to find, but nice glasses and good customer service.

I had a fantastic experience at Warby Parker. I came in looking for my first pair of glasses, and I wasn’t sure how to apply my insurance. Yoanna was able to take down my insurance information and, even though it was out of network for me, she was able to submit a claim on my behalf in under 5 minutes. It was super easy and I highly recommend this location to anyone who unsure on how to work their insurance.

Leah Schill who works here is the best optician I have ever interacted with! All the staff are great and patient and kind, but Leah is clearly the most experienced - she is magic with adjustments and knows exactly what to do often by just looking. If you're shopping for frames she also clearly cares about getting you the right pair of frames for your face and prescription, not just selling what's fashionable. Thank you Leah!

The staff was friendly but I also felt a bit taken advantage of. Never did they show me pricing options, only the bill. Not only are the contacts more expensive, but they take almost no insurance options for the eye exam. So get ready to pay about $185 for a prescription and over $300 for a year supply of bi-weekly contacts (in my case).
When the doctor asked if I look at a computer a lot during the day, I said yes. She tacked on another option to my contacts without telling me how much more it was. I had to ask her and she said “oh, only $50 more it’s nothing.”
I find it a bit ridiculous that I don’t have a say on what I want, and wasn’t shown any pricing options.
I’d recommend going to Costco instead. Much cheaper for both contacts and prescription renewal.

Staff was great from when I walked in the door I was helped and greeted by two people. I was then brought to the third floor for an eye exam. The person who set up exam was amazing and the Optometrist was equally as good. I will not order frames from anywhere else and will not get my eye exams done anywhere else now. Exceptional experience.
Wish I took names. Go to this location-you will not be disappointed. They also called before eye exam to discuss payment options and ask if I had any questions. I was able to get eye exam same day a well.
