Tucked inside our Cambridge store is the Warby Parker Pencil Room: a little alcove full of writing utensils designed with our friends at CW Pencil Enterprise. (All pencil sale proceeds go to 826 Boston, a nonprofit that helps students aged 6–18 find their inner authors and sharpen their writing skills.) You will also find glasses, sunglasses, books...all that good stuff.
Comprehensive exams starting at $85
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $35)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

I got my current glasses from some sketchy online store (not WP) and they have been falling apart over the past few months, to the point where I have basically had to rubber band them to my head to keep them from falling off my face every time I look down. I stopped by WP to see if there was anything they could do to help me - a guy named Jason ended up helping me out and not only did he completely fix my glasses (they’re literally as good as new now!) but he also noticed my nose pads were worn down and replaced those for me as well! He was so nice and helpful and I am so thrilled to have working glasses again. They also did the repair for free which is so amazing!
This is a great place to go for repairs. Their selection of glasses on site is also phenomenal - if you’re thinking of buying cheap knockoffs like I did, save yourself some trouble and consider buying from a place like WP instead!

I love the team here. Knowledgeable, friendly, but not pouncy. Store was extremely clean and organized and I was greeted and cared for professionally. The woman who helped me knew my perfect frames before I did, which was just icing on the cake! The gentleman who helped me complete my transaction was knowledgeable about insurance and lens selection and helped me make informed decisions. He was transparent about timeline and how I could go about receiving reimbursement from my vision insurance provider. Always a 10/10 experience at WP, but this location especially.

I love Warby Parker! I wear progressive glasses, so I like to shop in person to make sure they're just right. The store is attractive, and there are lots of options, and the people who work there are great. Jason really steered me in the right direction and I found frames that I love in just a few minutes. He and Levi helped make sure my insurance reimbursement was good, and that I got the add-ons (like blue light filters) I wanted. I love the new glasses!
