Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

Finding an optometrist with availability sooner rather than later is hard here on Cape Cod. An optometrist I have been a client of was scheduling 5 months out. I was able to log onto the Warby Parker site and set up an exam for myself and two children within a week. The space is clean, the staff and doctor were super friendly. A great addition to the Cape!

First timer at Warby Parker- What a great place. Excellent staff, choices and variety of sizes within the choices. No rush and very helpful in minor adjustments before decisions to help change the way a frame sits on your face. It makes a big difference. The prices are very good too! I didn’t expect insurance assistance but they ran mined through and I’ll be getting one return. I’ll still file for another. Superior experience and you can have glasses shipped to you or pick up at the store!

My wife recommended Warby Parker after I complimented her new glasses. She shared with me that our insurance covered most of the price of her glasses. Upon entry to the store, I was immediately pleasantly greeted. I presented the prescription my retina special prepared. Upon showing my insurance card the sales advisor verified that I had excellent insurance coverage. I showed my helper my glasses and told her I would like similar frames. She told me she was able to accommodate me. After listening to the details of what I wanted, she took me to the exact frames I desired. She showed me two or three options. I made my choice and within minutes, we were done. I couldn’t believe the price I was quoted. I was extremely pleased. My receipt was in email. The experience was a pleasure. I would note, my former optometrist convinced me that the store’s “discount” was better than my insurance. That was not the case!

Came in to choose a frame for my new prescription. Unfortunately, as soon as I take my glasses off, I cannot see well enough when trying on new frames. My Rep, Stacey did all the hard work for me. She gathered a number of frames for me to try. She was very patient and helped, along with my partner, to pick the perfect frame for me.

Went in for appointment with wife. First told me my insurance was no good and I would need to go elsewhere. I told them I was pre approved they said must be mistake. Turns out I was correct. The first person acted very annoyed to the point I asked if I was irritating him. He said no just have to stay on schedule. I should have left but I didn’t. The doctor was very indifferent and fast in a hurry. Upon picking frames when I told him I had a budget of 200 he said not to worry most all were 95.00. Overall I felt like I was just a number and the more they got through in a day obviously they make more money. Honestly Costco was a much better experience. Will be calling my insurance company today and see if I can cancel. My wife needs glasses and she told me she will not be getting them there.

I was very pleased with the staff at the Warby Parker. I first went to the Visionworks at the Cape Cod Mall at 3PM on a Monday afternoon and found the door locked with no sign posted explaining why the store was not open for business. As a longtime customer of Visonworks I tried calling the store and never was able to communicate with a human being or get any information as to when and if the store was going to be open for business. Therefore, I went to the Warby Parker across the street and was pleasantly surprised to receive great service. The staff greeted me as soon as I walked in and worked with me to find glasses that met my needs at a very reasonable price. It is clear that Warby Parker has some great employees at their Hyannis store that will help you find the right pair of glasses.
