Comprehensive exams starting at $85
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $35)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

I’ve been going for the last 5 years and the service is unmatched. Even though it is usually crowded when I go during end of the year, there is virtually no wait time. I spend 15-20 minutes deciding what frames to get and maybe 10 minutes ordering. Glasses are shipped in less than 2 weeks and depending on the fit, I may go in for adjustments. I love it!

This company does not support neurodivergent people, especially if they are employees of the company. They are so lucky that I did not pursue legal action for being discrimnated. I recommend taking your business elsewhere. Progressive lenses are way too expensive anyway.

Anjelica Duggins guided me toward the best frames for my face and my needs. I was buying two very different ones (a rather intense, very bold black frame) and a quieter one (relative to the first) that I would probably wear more often. After receiving the frames with my prescription in them, it was the quieter frame I was struggling with and returned to the store with it. Anjelica did not judge my confusion, and helped me identify another frame that would do the job nicely. Still, she gently encouraged me to live with the frames I had a few days more, as I was well within my "return window." She even reminded I could always just return the second pair (for a full refund, within the return window) and re-visit the purchase of a completely different "second pair" any time in the future. I think it was her thoughtful and sensitive approach to my dilemma that gave me the space I needed to decide. In the end, I stuck with my original choices, and simply love them (both). Thank you Anjelica for saving me .... from myself!

I went to this store to find a frame for my prescription glasses. I couldn't find a fit of my liking and then received help from Angela, one of the salesperson. She found me some great options and did some on-the-spot adjustment to make sure the frame fit comfortably. The overall customer service was very nice, the prices were affordable. It was the best prescription glass shopping experience I have had in MD so far. I plan to come back to this location when I need new glasses.

I needed reading glasses with progressive lenses from 0 prescription to the lower placed magnifying area. I also wanted them to darken in sunlight so I don't have to have three different glasses to take on and off as the day goes on. That's exactly what I got with a frame that is very attractive.
