Video-Assisted Doctor Panel
Introduction
Our video-assisted exams are performed by a panel of state licensed remote doctors. An in-person optometric assistant will perform eye tests to assess your vision, and then one of our remote doctors will video call in to the exam room to complete your exam

Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
The well-known portion of an eye exam where you read from a chart of progressively shrinking letters until they're too small to see
The part of the exam that determines your prescription for corrective lenses (if you need them)
A screening for issues like glaucoma and cataracts, and for signs of other health conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and more
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Insurance, FSA, and HSA
Whether we’re in- or out-of-network with your carrier, you can use vision insurance to save at Warby Parker . (We accept FSA and HSA, too!)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

Really lovely ten+ minute call with this store in which:
-I was quoted three different prices for lens replacement
-I was told the systems being difficult, so couldn't really get an answer on price to replace lens; awesome;
-I can't get just one lens replaced, have to get a pair. I'm sorry, does the machine make two at a time? I only need one lens. Thanks, Warby Parker, for your...greed?
-I was told they need a new script because mine's expired, but it's really not that old and um...that script WAS working pretty good for my eyes...but cool, you do you. I won't.
-And I pointed out, you don't take my insurance, so I won't be getting an eye exam at your place, but anyways,
-14 BUSINESS days (they quoted) seems like a significant wait for a new pair of lenses (and again, I really only want, or rather need, one new lens, but that's too difficult for WB)
-Finally, the store associate hung up on me when I informed them I'd been on the phone for over ten minutes and still didn't have the info I needed (like um, price). I pointed out that they'd said three different prices, and said I was disappointed they wouldn't do just one lens, and that it would take so long since I NEED my lens, and that they won't use my most recent script. They hung up. Top-notch service.
My phone call was about as useful as a poopie-flavored lollipop, except that I found out Warby Parker is not the spot. They couldn't even reliably quote prices for me, and they put me on hold for a while, to which I said, no problem. What were you even doing? Sheesh.
Impressively bad service, keep it up! I look forward to never calling your business again! :)

I had a fabulous retail experience at Warby Parker today. I unfortunately did not get the name of the retail associate who helped me, but she was fabulous! I came in knowing which frames I wanted. She was able to answer my questions regarding the frames, and when she didn't know an answer she was willing to ask another associate or her supervisor. I really appreciated that. She tried to create a clear financial picture and gave me advice about how to submit to my insurance. We enjoyed some smile and laughs while choosing my lenses for my prescriptive shades and she made me feel great about my choice. Very pleasant and helpful person. I appreciate both.

When I always go the staff aren’t much help. They usually lean on tables on their phones or stand with arms crossed. One time I asked an associate if one of the pairs came in different colors. She said no, very matter of fact-ly. I looked on the app and behold, it actually came in two other colors.
I’d say the only person who was kind and helpful has been the manager I believe.
Also at one visit, there was one customer who had a lot of questions and concerns while purchasing glasses. As soon as the customer left, two of the associates who helped the customer started giggling and making fun of the situation. Very unprofessional. At least keep it in the break room, no?
With this being the closest Warby Parker store to me, I typically enter in to try on pairs but end up purchasing them online because again, the staff don’t really greet, interact or bother to initiate a conversation. I’ve been to many Warby Parker’s in the DMV area and this one has got to be bottom tier in terms of service.
