Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

This was my first time purchasing eye glasses and it was a wonderful experience. All the staff was extremely helpful with all aspects of purchasing my first pair of glasses; from understanding the prescription, to helping me pick out my first pair of glasses that best suited me. The associate made me feel very comfortable as I was very unfamiliar with the whole process. Highly recommend especially if you are purchasing your first pair of glasses!

I’ve been wearing Warby Parker for several years. I frequently get comments on my Estrada glasses in Prickly Pear Tortoise. Love them! Not only do the glasses stand up to the test of time (unless you sit on them - oops!), the staff at the Pike and Rose location in Maryland are superb. I can go in for minor adjustments for no charge and they always take their time to make sure I have everything I need.

They canceled my appointment when I arrived because I was 3 minutes late (traffic and parking were awful as usual). They wouldn’t be accommodating or flexible at all. I had taken a full day off work (I’m a federal employee who is not allowed to telework and has to go into the office in DC everyday) for the appointment and had to make the appointment months in advance. It was insanely rude to waste my time like this. Their glasses are also cheap and don’t fit comfortably. It’s a nightmare to deal with their corporate bureaucracy. Never again!

Jason turned me away because I was 3minutes late for my appointment. Jason called while I was parking, so he knew I was there. I literally ran from the parking lot, but the dr (Chen) told him that he wouldn't give me a contact lens exam and glasses exam because I was "past the grace period". Jason refused to accommodate or even let me speak with her. I had taken a full day off work for the appointment, which I booked months in advance. horrible customer service. ridiculous lack of business acumen.
Update (2/18/26) - someone from corporate called me and listened intently to my feedback and said they would address the issue. I appreciated that.
