Dr. Priya Brown is a state-licensed optometrist who graduated from the Michigan College of Optometry in 2019. Specializing in primary care optometry, Dr. Brown uses cutting-edge technology and clinical expertise to perform a comprehensive eye health exam—prescribing eyeglasses, fitting contact lenses, evaluating eye health, and more for patients ages 4 and up.

Comprehensive exams starting at $85
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $35)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

First time at Warby Parker & my experience was 10/10. Dr. Gappy was phenomenal. My appointment didn't feel rushed, and she was extremely knowledgable, explaining every step of the process in an easy-to-understand way and answering any questions I had. I’ve never purchased glasses the same day as my appointment before, but this was the first time I felt confident doing so. The selection in store is great, so many stylish & unique options, at much lower prices than most retailers. Staff was very helpful too during the whole purchasing process (was helped by Traci and Lydia, who were both awesome). Overall, a great experience, I finally get the buzz around Warby Parker!

Stopped in early on a Monday. Staff are friendly and helpful with a keen visual eye. They helped me pick out two pairs of glasses, I was in and out in less than an hour. I’m picky so that’s record time for me! Great options and reasonably priced glasses.

My husband, dog, and I visited the Warby Parker in downtown Birmingham yesterday - yes, they are dog friendly! ☺️🐶 We were warmly welcomed and immediately helped with trying on sunglasses. I’ve been a customer of Warby Parker for over 5 years now, and the customer service continues to decline, year after year. This is my first time ordering glasses from the Birmingham location, and it will be my last, as the staff members are beyond rude. I’m never greeted upon entering the store (perhaps I don’t fit the demographic), even when asking for help in picking out new frames, it appears as if they’re bothered by my ask. I’m never addressed by name.
Went to pick up my glasses yesterday, and the service was so disrespectful, as the rep stood there, as if to say, “take your glasses and go!” I had to ask for a bag, because it surely wasn’t offered to me. When I asked to have another frame to be added to my favorite list, I was again met with rudeness. So, it’s safe to say that they lost a customer, as I won’t ever shop here again!!
And please don’t insult my intelligence by asking me to reach out to you, to further discuss my concerns, because if improving the customer experience was important to you, you would be reaching out to the customer to make the situation right. Not the other way around!

I went here for a glasses and contacts exam. It was a great experience, as soon as I walked into the store, everyone in there was very kind and they fixed a pair of my WP glasses. The eye exam was excellent. Dr. Hamade was very thorough in answering my questions and even added some new perspective/ things to think about, which I really appreciated. I highly reccomend this location for your glasses and contacts needs. Scheduling the exam was too easy through the WP app and ordering new contacts with them was a breeze.

After going to Warby Parker for 5 years I can't even remotely recommend the place anymore. Yearly exam for glasses and contacts went fine but if you have any issues with anything else its a huge headache. I ordered glasses and they came with too strong of astigmatism correction and had to get them replaced. I waited 26 days for the replacement pair. They said their lab is going through updates and it would be a an extra 3 days over the normal 10. Clearly that number doubled, way too long of a wait. I also had trial contacts ordered that never showed up and they never followed up. Which by the way if you're new to Warby parker you cannot call the place you went to directly to figure out what's going on. You have to call their main number and get the run around "the store will send you an email update" which they never do. It's 11/7 and my initial appointment was september 3rd. I finally have glasses that dont make me sick to wear, but I never did get my trial contacts. Not wanting to wait anymore I ordered my Rx through 1800 contacts. Guess what, they have to verify your Rx through Warby parker. They will not accept the Rx they send you after your appointment so they need to call Warby Parker. 3 days and counting and they still cannot get a hold of someone to verify my contacts Rx. Something that normally happens the same day of an order. Just go somewhere else.

I'm more mad at corporate than I am any of the employees, but I went in and found my perfect pair of glasses. I have a very small face and was so excited to buy them. Checking out I was told they didn't have the glasses in narrow available, so I said I was fine with the display pair. They refused and said they are not allowed to, so I went in, found the PERFECT glasses, only to not be able to get them... so sad

I’ve had vision trouble for years and I’ve never been able to understand my exact prescription until I met Dr.Gappy. She was professional, knowledgeable, and such a light to see! I would recommend Dr.Gappy to all of my friends and family. Also the staff here are so welcoming and kind. Their selection of frames is stunning. I would absolutely recommend!

Went in to get my Warby glasses tightened and there were three employees there and no one could help me. Glasses literally falling off my face from being so loose. Might not buy another pair if Warby glasses again. If you work at Warby store, you should be trained to tighten glasses.

Superb customer service! I tend to buy designer glasses but this year my focus has been on being a smarter consumer by spending my money where it matters. The philosophy of Warby Parker has always been about stewardship. You buy and they donate— simple as that. Beyond what they do, the store itself was fab. Service was attentive, patient, and helpful. Special shout out to Olivia who went above and beyond during our whole experience there. Also the optometrist was kind, patient, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this brand and store!
