Dr. Priya Brown
Introduction
Dr. Priya Brown graduated from the Michigan College of Optometry in 2019. As a Michigan native (fun fact: she graduated from Seaholm High School) she is grateful to be practicing close to her hometown community.
Dr. Riam Gappy
Introduction
Dr. Riam Gappy is a state-licensed optometrist who graduated from the Chicago College of Optometry (CCO) in 2024. Specializing in primary care optometry, Dr. Gappy uses cutting-edge technology and clinical expertise to perform a comprehensive eye health exam—prescribing eyeglasses, fitting contact lenses, evaluating eye health, and more for patients ages 4 and up.

Comprehensive exams starting at $85
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

I cannot say enough about this Warby Parker in Rochester Hills! Before today I had not even been there. I just stopped by real fast during my work day in hopes that they would be able to put a screw into my eyeglasses because I was not able to get it in myself. The girl that helped me was so kind and helpful and worked on fixing my eyeglasses for about 15 minutes. It turns out the eyeglasses used an open screw in which to screw the eyeglasses together. Imani told me that it’s a difficult thing to fix but she was able to fix it for me for which I was so grateful and relieved seeing that I haven’t been able to use my glasses for about a week now. I asked Imani how much I owed her for fixing my glasses and she said don’t worry about it there would be no charge. Which was so kind of her seeing that it wasn’t a quick fix or anything. I can’t recommend this warby parkers enough! Imani was so friendly and helpful and the whole experience was amazing. I will definitely be giving them more business in the future! Totally recommend!!

Let me start by saying this review is solely about the Rochester Hills location—not Warby Parker as a company. I normally go to the Novi store and have always had great experiences there.
I visited the Rochester Hills location because it was closer, planning to get my glasses adjusted and possibly buy another pair of glasses and sunglasses. My last eye exam was in January 2024, so I knew I was still within the valid prescription window.
The sales associate told me I had to schedule a new exam before purchasing another pair due to being “due” for an exam—even though my prescription is very low. Not only was that frustrating, but she also questioned why I would need another pair of glasses if my prescription was still working for me. I found that an odd and unnecessary question. As a mom to a three-year-old, having a backup pair is simply practical.
Despite the inconvenience, I went ahead and scheduled the exam. On the day of the appointment, I received a call informing me that the doctor did not show up. I was offered an appointment in Detroit, which I appreciated but was not a reasonable option for me since it’s even farther than the Novi location.
I decided not to reschedule and accepted the cancellation. Later, I logged into the Warby Parker website and discovered that I was able to order both glasses online using my existing prescription—no new exam required. My prescription was verified as still valid.
This left me questioning why the associate insisted I needed a new exam when clearly that wasn’t the case.
Overall, I do not recommend the Rochester Hills location. This feels like a location-specific management or training issue. I’ve never had problems at the Novi store, and I’ll continue taking my business there.
