Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

The doctor that I had the morning of my appointment made me feel safe, seen, heard, and was so friendly and kind. She was so knowledgeable. I have had some bad eye doctor experiences, so was very anxious about needing to go and trying somewhere new, but the experience was great. Also, the gentleman that helped me and my son in the store was amazing.

Warby Parker at the Somerset Mall, Troy MI is the best place to shop for glasses. Their employees are helpful and ready to listen to your needs. They have a wide selection of frames as well as lenses at a reasonable price. This is not true however of the Warby Parker store in the Rochester Village, Rochester Hills, Michigan. The Warby Parker in the Rochester Village basically just tries to upsell you into buying glasses, you really don’t need. It’s too bad that both locations are not the same. If you’re looking for glasses Warby Parker in the Somerset Mall is the place to go.

Super disappointed with the (imaging) charge I paid on top of my exam. I was not told about this by an employee. Had I been asked, I would have told them I don’t need imaging, I literally see an eye specialist that does this. Instead I was charged $39 for literally no reason! Shady business practices. I wasn’t even told what the result was of the “imaging”? If they are taking advanced images at least they should say why and what the result is? So ridiculous!

I bought a non-prescription pair of sunglasses and was told by the sale associate that I’ll be able to come back within a month for replacement if there’s any issue since all lens from Warby Parker are “scratch-resistant” guaranteed. My lens ended got scratched even with cautious use. I returned to request for a replacement but was told that it’s only applied for prescription lens. This was non clarified with me at sale and the sale associate insisted that i can come back for replacement if there’s any issue within 30 days. If I had known that this is not replaceable, I would have not bought the pair because I bought it from the shelf and it’s not a brand new one. This has really caused me to distrust Warby Parker. It may not the sale associate’s intention but this needs to be clarified whenever a non-prescription glasses being purchased. Even the policy doesn’t explicitly state that non-prescription glasses will not eligible for replacement, leading to confusion when I was doing my research. Regardless, Warby Parker advertised their lens to be scratch-resistant, and just after less than a month, there was scratches on my lens. So there’s a mismatch between what was promised and there was no policy in place to protect consumers who purchase non-prescription glasses. If you need a good non-prescription glasses, there are much better brands with quality and better consumer’s protection for both non-prescription and prescription glasses. I used to really like WP but it has decreased in quality significantly the past few years. I’m truly disappointed

The Somerset location is very sharp with everything they do. The doctor was very good, thorough and sweet. The staff was very knowledgeable, kind, patient and helpful. Austun was my salesperson and she was great. All three of the people working that day were great!
