Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

From the beginning to the end they were courteous, kind and patient. Our exams went off without a hitch and we felt like we were fitted well for our upcoming prescriptions. The option to have our eyes scanned rather than being dilated was an added benefit. This was the first time in many years we shopped without the aid of vision coverage. Coming out of pocket for the overall cost they were still very reasonable and had many great options. Owen was incredibly patient with us and gave us very valuable input. Based on some of his suggestions and recommendations we ultimately found the perfect frames for my wife as well as a terrific option for myself. 10/10 would recommend from scheduling the appointment to the in store experience.

The store was very clean and they had a lot of great frame options to choose from. The staff was very welcoming even though they were busy, and they were incredibly kind and easy to work with! The process to buy my glasses was quick once I picked a frame, and the gentleman that helped me was very nice and thoroughly explained the process and helped me look up my insurance benefits. He also helped me pick a style and gave his opinions which I appreciated! That helped me make a decision I’m excited about. Would definitely recommend this place!

Warby Parker gives top notch customer service. When I took my daughter in, we had personalized care from everyone working in the store. They were attentive, experienced and helpful. I've also had an efficient experience with insurance. WP is out of network for us but we still get a refund and it works quickly. They have now begun filling out the form in store which makes even less work for me. Win win.

As a person who has been wearing glasses for 27 year, I have to say the whole process from scheduling to getting to the store, and then the appointment was great. You just schedule online (they do take vision insurance or you pay HSA/FSA/out of pocket) but really the cost wasn't that bad. The scheduling process was so nice, it lets you know what is avalible near you. You can pick a date, time, and location that works for you with out having to take a lot of time out of your day to make a phone call or wait around to recieve a return call. Overall the exam was quick and to the point. Both the doc and the tech were friendly, informative, and able to answer all my questions. They did a retinal scan instead of dilation which was so worth it. Super friendly staff. I got my prescription sent to my email before I left. They ask about buying glasses there but not too pushy about it. Plus if you do want to buy there the frames are reasonably priced compared to other stores.

Contacts are my preference & an estimate on a new pair a few years ago was $1200+ so I just put up with an old pair of glasses I wear very seldom. An article about Warby Parker prompted a visit with my current Rx in hand. The estimate on the frame style I liked best was $550. In conversation I found out they could custom a pair of readers with progressive lenses designed for medium and close-up work. That pair was $400. The total bill was dropped by 15% for buying two glasses the same day. Overall, I saved easily $1300 from buying at the opthalmology clinic's retail store. The glasses will ship to my home and give me 30 days with an option for changes. Fittings can be made walk-in at any store. I'm impressed.

We picked out 2 frames, did our measurements, and the staff explained the whole process to us. Super easy, super convenient, and very reasonable prices!
