Introduction
Our video-assisted exams are performed by a panel of state licensed remote doctors. An in-person optometric assistant will perform eye tests to assess your vision, and then one of our remote doctors will video call in to the exam room to complete your exam

Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

I cannot even begin to describe how disappointed I am with my recent experience. I’ve loved this store for a long time and was genuinely excited to finally get my first pair from there. What should have been a great moment was completely overshadowed by one of the worst customer service interactions I’ve ever had.
My encounter with Susan at the Ridgedale location was shockingly negative. She was aggressive and inconsiderate with me. There was absolutely no empathy, no effort to be welcoming, and no basic courtesy. It honestly made me question whether I even wanted to continue shopping there.
It is unusual as my previous experience looking for frames at the Ridgedale location were kind, patient, and actually treated me like a valued customer. Without them, this would have been a total loss.
It’s incredibly frustrating because I truly love this store, but one interaction like that can leave a lasting bad impression. Management seriously needs to address this, because no customer should be made to feel the way I did.

Fantastic service from beginning to end even though there was a delay because of a system issue. Alexis and Claire were amazing as was the person who helped me pick out frames. Fast, efficient exam and a great selection of frames with good advice on choices.

Awful. They left me on my own to help myself even though there were several employees standing around. Checked me out and offered me no receipt. The email never came with the receipt. Customer service over the phone couldn't find my order either. I'll never shop at any location or online again on principle. A nightmare experience.

Very disappointing experience. I came in for a simple glasses adjustment and waited 35 minutes after joining the waitlist. When I asked again about the wait, I was told it would be another 25+ minutes, despite the store not being busy. I left and went to the North Loop location, where the adjustment was handled quickly and professionally. The difference in customer service was noticeable..

They offer eye exams, but they don't actually have eye doctors on site. This leads to extremely poor patient care. It seems convenient and modern and high tech until you get your new glasses and the prescription doesn't work and you have to go around in circles trying to get things fixed. I've never had these kinds of issues when I've seen eye doctors in person. Do your eyes a favor and go somewhere else.
Also, they claim that their eye exams include digital imaging because that's required for the off-site doctors, but you still pay extra for it. It was a line item right on my bill.
And to Warby Parker's response, I say: Shenanigans! You say this isn't the level of service you aim to provide, but it absolutely is the level of service you CHOOSE to provide. Warby Parker CHOOSES to save money by not having doctors on site. Warby Parker CHOOSES to tell customers that digital imaging is included in their exams, and Warby Parker CHOOSES to not mention up front that despite their practice of not having doctors on site requiring digital imaging, THE COST of that digital imaging IS NOT included in the exam. So they save money on your exam, and pass the cost on to you.
