We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
The well-known portion of an eye exam where you read from a chart of progressively shrinking letters until they're too small to see
The part of the exam that determines your prescription for corrective lenses (if you need them)
A screening for issues like glaucoma and cataracts, and for signs of other health conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and more

Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

I like the overall experience as far as the people were very nice and it was great but I was kind of disappointed in Pete who checked me out because he was supposed to go over the sunglass part of the glasses that you wear never once discussed that just kind of said okay this is and this is your price and this is what you're going to get you'll get it in two weeks in the mail and check me out and out the door I was you know I was kind of disappointed in the way he didn't go through everything like I was told he was going to with me

I went to the store for an eye exam and to purchase glasses. The exam and selection process went great. However, when it came to shipping logistics, there was an issue. Since I recently relocated from Chicago to St. Louis, the Warby Parker employee and I went over adding my new address to my account for the shipment of these glasses. The address was updated for this order, but my package was still shipped to my old Chicago address despite confirming the change in-store.
I’m quite disappointed, especially since I’ve shopped with Warby Parker before. When I contacted customer service, I asked if they could cover the cost of shipping the glasses from Chicago to St. Louis. Unfortunately, they told me I would have to ship the glasses back to Warby Parker so they could process and resend them to my new address. This would take too long, as I need the glasses ASAP. Now, I have to pay for the shipping label myself and arrange for someone in Chicago to send them to me.

Such a good experience here! I’ve been a WB customer for years but have never been in person. My glasses broke, and i don’t have a spare, so I was hoping to get a hasty replacement. While I was prepared to pay for a new frame/possibly just put my old lenses into that new frame, the kind workers noticed my warranty had only expired by a week or so and were able to expedite me a new pair so my gorilla-glue frames can be donated back ASAP! LOL!
Truly, it was a well-staffed store filled with friendly people eager to help, even with me coming toward the end of the workday. When I need glasses again, this will definitely be where I go!

Great store. We walked in on a whim and was able to get an eye exam same day and order the glasses. They had a great selection of frames and loved that they even display them by size. Makes it so much easier for us to figure out which of that style would fit best.

The service was great when I was selecting frames...helpful, patient, and efficient. When I was measured for and fit it seemed very rushed and imprecise. I received both sets of glasses and, neither fit correctly. One literally falls off my face and the others do not sit properly - the arms do not rest low enough on my ears and the bridge is too far down on my nose, which means the bifocal transition is off. I will go back and hopefully have them adjusted, but have not had this experience before. I think the person who takes care of fit/sizing at this location needs additional training. Also, to understand that her job is about precision to ensure that when received, the glasses fit properly.

This Warby Parker is in the middle of a mall and there was lots of people here. I was exactly 5 min late due to all the people in the building and they cancelled my appointment. Waste of time and terrible customer service. They value walk-in quick money over people who take the time to make an appointment. Very disappointing. Beware.
