Introduction
Our video-assisted exams are performed by a panel of state licensed remote doctors. An in-person optometric assistant will perform eye tests to assess your vision, and then one of our remote doctors will video call in to the exam room to complete your exam

Comprehensive exams starting at $85
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $35)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

James was really helpful and even explained things about my prescription (that I brought in from my optometrist) that I had never had explained to me before. I left with a greater understanding of how glasses and frames work together with my eyes, AND ordered a pair of frames I am truly excited to wear! I am a hard person to fit for glasses with a smaller face shape and size, so I wasn't expecting to be so satisfied with my experience and purchase! Easily 10/5 stars.

I had a great experience at Warby Parker. Trinity pulled a ton of frames for me and helped me find the perfect ones for my face shape and style. It was extremely helpful. Audrey was great with helping decide what kind of glasses to get as far as anti fatigue vs progressive vs computer glasses etc. It was a really great experience and I walked away happy with glasses ordered! I'd ordered glasses online that were supposed to be readers,. Two days and a visit to my opthalmologist later, I learned that the reason I couldn't see with them was because they were actually distance glasses, not readers. I then learned that Warby Parker had a store close by and decided to go there in person.
The woman who helped me couldn't have been nicer. She fit the frames to my face and said they'd remake readers for me. But once I learned the glasses were for distance and drove using them, I thought I could benefit from distance glasses too (but didn't want progressive), so she helped me find frames. She was patient, knowledgeable, had similar opinions about what looked good and what didn't and gave me honest feedback, empathy, attention and help.
My one complaint is that I overheard another customer being told that if they purchased 2 pairs of glasses, they'd get 20% off. I asked if I could get 20% off of I kept the distance glasses and purchased another pair for close up and was told no - I had to buy them at the same time and the incorrect glasses would need to be changed to get the discount. I would have purchased a 2nd pair of the more expensive frames but instead, settled on changing the originals to readers and buying a different cheaper frame I didn't like as much for distance, but then I did get the discount. And, of course, I wish they got the order correct to begin with.

She took the time to look at what I already wear, asked thoughtful questions, and offered several great options that suited my style perfectly.

What a fantastic shop! I have only ordered Warby Parker glasses online, and was delighted that a store opened in Asheville.
I was warmly greeted when I entered the store. The sales associate Amy understood what I was looking for, and showed me a few options. The checkout process was quick and courteous; All in all the whole visit took about fifteen minutes, which was amazing! What would normally take an hour or so, I was done and on my way.
