Comprehensive exams starting at $124
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

I brought my mom here yesterday and we were warmly greeted by Marcus. A friend of mine always has the cutest frames from WP and they just so happen to accept my mothers Medicare Advantage insurance plan so I thought we would give them a try, and I am SO glad we did.
Marcus is absolutely incredible at his job. He brought over a few selections and honestly he nailed every single one. He truly has a knack for selecting the perfect frame for a face. He brought selections over that I thought never in a million years my mom would try - but she did! - and they were ALL flattering. She actually ended up loving and choosing the very first pair he presented. My Mom has had a notoriously difficult time shopping for glasses. We’ve never really been able to find a pair she loved; she always settled for “good enough”. These frames were a huge win - she even forgot she had them on when it was time to leave. That speaks to the comfort and fit as well! We are so excited for her new glasses to come in.
I can’t say enough good things. Please ask for Marcus to help you - he’s AMAZING!!

I had such a great experience at Warby Parker! I went in for a full eye exam for both glasses and contact lenses, and everything from start to finish was smooth and comfortable.
The receptionist was super sweet and welcoming, which immediately made me feel at ease. I was honestly impressed with their availability — I made my appointment just the day before and had no issues getting in.
The doctor was incredibly nice, helpful, and took the time to explain everything in detail. The whole office has a really comfortable, modern vibe that makes the experience feel relaxed rather than clinical.
Pricing was very reasonable, and overall it was a 5/5 experience. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing an eye exam or new prescription! 👓✨

Dr. Sheppard is amazing! So personable and helpful and really took the time to make sure I understood what was happening. Then Rachel in the store helped me pick the greatest frames (and another wonderful lady, too, whose name I didn't catch). The whole process was quick, painless, stress-free and actually FUN. I can't believe it myself, but there you go; I had fun at the eyeglass store!
