We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.

Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

What a great experience! From scheduling the eye exam online all the way to picking out glasses and ordering them, the process was absolutely painless, stress-free, and dare I say kind of fun!
Every single team member working was helpful, knowledgeable and so friendly!

i don’t really get all the hate at all. i had a really good experience at warby parker. the staff was friendly and chill, not pushy or hoverin, which i appreciated. they were there when i had questions but didn’t make it weird or stressful.
the best part was being able to look at the glasses on my own and take my time tryin them on. no rush, no pressure, just browsing and figuring out what i liked. everyone i talked to was nice and helpful and seemed to actually care. overall it was a solid experience and i’d def go back.

staff ignored us for the entire 15 minutes we were in there. came in to buy two pairs of glasses, left before even getting to speaking to someone. staff approached and helped several customers who came in after us and ignored us entirely

I've been a long time customer of Warby Parker utilizing their at-home try on and online order option, but with that service ending, I decided to drive from Lincoln to Omaha to try on at the store at had a wonderful experience! The staff were super helpful with answering questions but didn't pressure me at all, gave me options when I forgot my prescription, and were even great with my two toddlers who were being a little rowdy in the store. I loved the option of trying on all of the glasses and ordering was super easy. Overall, this was a great experience and I will be back for more!
