Introduction
Dr. Jesse Estacio graduated from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico, School of Optometry (IAUPR) in 2020. He is proud to be a member of the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians and the American Optometric Association. As a New Jersey native (fun fact: he graduated from Dumont High School), he is grateful to be practicing close to his hometown community. In his downtime, Dr. Estacio enjoys travelling, fitness, and playing sports—especially snowboarding, golf, and CrossFit.

We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.

What is included in a comprehensive eye exam?
Visual Acuity Test
The well-known portion of an eye exam where you read from a chart of progressively shrinking letters until they're too small to see
Refraction
The part of the exam that determines your prescription for corrective lenses (if you need them)
Eye health check
A screening for issues like glaucoma and cataracts, and for signs of other health conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and more
Digital retinal Imaging
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $35)
