Dr. Shira Goldberg
Introduction
Dr. Shira Goldberg graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University (PCO) in 2003. In addition to her optometry degree, she completed a residency at the Northeastern Eye Institute and specialized in cornea and refractive surgery. Dr. Goldberg is proud to be a member of the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians and the NJ Chapter of the American Board of Optometry.

Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

I want to express my extreme disappointment regarding the service I received at the Westfield location. I have been a loyal Warby Parker customer since 2017, but my experience here was far below the standard of professionalism I have come to expect.
I arrived on time for my 10:50 AM appointment last Friday. They greeted me and I told them the time of my appointment and they said someone will be with me shortly. At 10:55 AM, another customer arrived for an 11:15 AM appointment. Despite me being there first, that customer was called back at 11:15 AM while I continued to wait.
While waiting with my back facing them, I overheard staff members acknowledging the error. One employee noted, "Her appointment was at 10:50 and his appointment was at 11:15, she made a mistake, oops," to which another responded, "oops" and "oh well." Although an employee eventually offered me water and an apology for the delay, the dismissive nature of the conversation I overheard was disrespectful and distasteful.
After I chose to leave the store, I received a phone call offering another apology and a discount, citing a system glitch. I declined the discount and made an appointment at the brookfield location in NY. From my experience there I was greeted and someone checked me in on the tablet which seems to be key to the “glitch” because this step never occurred. I wouldn’t have minded this if the comments were never made, mistakes happen. The comments showed that they were never welcoming to ME because the guy after me was obviously able to get checked in when I wasn't.

Terrible experience, they scheduled my appointment at 5:35 pm and when I called them to let them know I was running 5 mins late they canceled my appointment cause the doctor leaves at 6. They also mentioned the exam takes 20 mins…. I’m guessing the doctor couldn’t accommodate a patient with 5 mins of their time. Very unprofessional, no accountability for never notifying of the 5 mins. From this experience you can actually see how much a patient does not matter to a doctor even giving them extra 5 mins of their time.

My exam and purchasing of new glasses was excellent. Everyone was very kind and helpful. Though my appointment was scheduled for 2:35 I got an email saying it was scheduled for 8:35 am when the store isn't open. I assumed it was spam and I ignored it but when I arrived they had the same error but still managed to fit me in. I was greatful.

I have no words--Warby Parker in Westfield is amazing. My son (by accident) broke my glasses in 2 and they laughed about it, were so friendly, and fixed it right away free of charge. The same week, my back up glasses broke and it was the same Saturday staff, and they went above and beyond finding new lenses to fit the frames. I was astounded at how they truly care about their customers.
When I've gone in the past for frames, they are beyond helpful, the staff are always willing to help me look for frames that look great, and are always a pleasure. I can't say enough wonderful things about the staff at Warby Parker in Westfield.
It's refreshing to know that there are wonderful people in the community who take pride in their work and truly care about their customers. I will only get my glasses at Warby Parker in Westfield.
