This location offers comprehensive eye exams for glasses—as well as eye exams for contacts prescriptions if you already wear contacts.
You don't need anything but your eyeballs to peruse and try on our frames. If you're planning to purchase prescription frames or contacts, it's helpful to have a digital or physical copy of your current prescription. If you'd like to pay with an FSA or HSA card, remember to bring that along, too.No prescription handy? Not a problem! You can come in just to browse, shop for non-prescription sunglasses and accessories, or can book an eye exam at most locations.

Yep, at all of our New York locations! Come in for a 15-minute DMV Vision Test with one of our licensed opticians, no appointment needed. The test is $25. (If you don't pass, no worries—we can schedule a comprehensive eye exam for you.)

Marcia is the most pleasant person I’ve had check my eyes. She’s friendly and knowledgeable, and explained every step thoroughly. My insurance doesn’t cover Warby Parker, but I willingly pay out of pocket to come here over an in-network location.

I wasn't aware that Warby Parker was in Stuyvesant Plaza until (upon my request for places to buy eyeglasses) my Ophthalmologist suggested that I might want to take a look. I recalled seeing commercials for this co. as an online option, so I was happy to see that they had a store.
The store was very attractive, offered a nice selection of attractive frames, helpful and friendly staff and a competitive price. I will return next year when it's time to get new eyeglasses!
Suggestions:
1) I needed to buy "extra-wide" frames to fit my face properly and they did have a nice selection, but I wish that they would have had 1 section with all of those frames together, instead of me needing to look at every frame on display to find options that could fit me.
2) Advertise that stores actually exist and that Warby Parker isn't strictly an online eyeglass center. I would have come here before had I realized.
3) Offer coupons and better discounts, especially for Seniors and military families.

If selection and price point is important to you, go to Warby Parker! The price listed (most between $95-150) includes Rx lenses with scratch-resistant and UV coating (extra for blue light, but I didn't add because I don't care for it). Took less than 10 minutes to purchase 3 total pairs - 2 for me and 1 for my teen daughter. Love this model of buying glasses. Highly recommend!! Can't wait to receive them.

Great staff and frames. The one thing I would love to see from Warby Parker is more lens and coating options. Particularly the ability to get mid-index 1.60 (for all frames) or trivex lenses and Zeiss Duravision Platinum of Gold coatings.

Every step of getting glasses has been a struggle. The sales associate who helped my mother & I did not enter the information correct for us. She entered my birthday, bifocals, lens thickness & pd (which they measured in store) incorrectly. That’s a lot to get wrong. I love the selection of products but the sales support is less than ideal. It has been stressful dealing with fixing all of these errors.

Horrible experience. I knew exactly what I wanted before I walked in. They tried to upsell me on frames that looked worse on me. Sales associate could not put the order through. Told me "I hate insurance." I was charged four times on my credit card. Luckily I used a card that is good at disputing charges. They told me two weeks for the glasses and it is actually going to be over a month and that is not guaranteed. If you need glasses don't go here. Your prescription will be different before they even arrive!

My five year old daughter had her first eye exam here, and the technician and eye doctor were wonderful with her, making her feel very comfortable. She had a great time with the eye exam, and we found out she needed reading glasses and were able to order some inexpensive ones without insurance same day.
