After years of trying different optical shops—from Aspen Opticals in Manhasset, where just the lenses start at $900 (without frames or eye exams), to Cohen’s Optical, which felt more like a flea market with limited selection and disengaged staff—I decided to give Warby Parker a try. Not only was I intrigued by their stylish yet affordable options, but I also appreciated their commitment to giving back to those in need.
I booked my eye exam at the Roosevelt Field location and was immediately impressed upon arrival. The store was beautifully designed, clean, and thoughtfully organized, making browsing a breeze. Christian was orchestrating the flow of traffic, ensuring that everyone was taken care of as a large group walked in around the same time. Despite the influx of customers, he still took a moment to greet me, setting the tone for the exceptional service ahead. Alicia walked me through their selection, ensuring I understood all my options without any pressure.
Talashia, the technician, was incredibly patient and professional, guiding me through a state-of-the-art eye exam and with my contacts.
Dr. Vanna McAuliffe conducted my exam with great care, demonstrating extensive knowledge and patience throughout the process. For my contact lens fitting, Dr. Simran Kaur ensured my prescription was precise and that my lenses were comfortable. Both doctors were extremely knowledgeable and patient, making the entire experience seamless.
When I returned to pick up my glasses, Alicia, Talashia, Christian, Dr. Kaur, and Felipe continued the outstanding service. Felipe ensured my frames fit perfectly and that my vision was spot-on, making sure I left completely satisfied. Christian checked in with me to make sure everything was going well. I truly appreciated that. Its ties the experience together.
To top it all off, Alicia emailed me my prescriptions for my glasses and contacts and receipt effortlessly, making the entire process smooth and hassle-free.
The overall experience was impeccable. Why? Because the “one in charge cares”, and that energy trickles down to a team that works seamlessly together. This isn’t just about selling glasses—it’s about true eye care, and that distinction makes all the difference.
As both a customer and a patient, eye contact when speaking is incredibly important to me. It’s something that has become all too rare in today’s fast-paced world, but not with the incredible team I encountered here. Their attentiveness and engagement made all the difference.
I feel this group is the epitome of “fusion”—a perfect blend of expertise, teamwork, and customer care—and should serve as an example for other locations.
