Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $35)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

This location has quite an extensive supply of farms to choose from. But what made this experience exceptional for me was first of all, Sam... he was outstanding in his customer service, time he took and how explained everything to me was deeply appreciated. Then his colleague Delynn (sorry, for the spelling... like the car but not the car Delorian) - she too was informative and walked through various fitting options with me for the frames I was interested in. I really appreciated both reps and the size of the inventory on hand. I highly recommend this location and both Sam and Delynn.

I loved that I was able to browse on my own without any pressure. And then when I needed assistance, the associates were readily available. Hunter helped me find the correct glasses width and also talked me through all the options of purchasing transition lenses versus prescription sunglasses and was super personable!

Great service. Didn't know WP could do eye exams. They were able to look up my insurance coverage in-store and get me set-up quickly. At the end, I was in a rush and the salesperson finished up my order for me - which was fantastic. Super easy / convenient location / plus - I like WP glasses.

I agreed on a price for an exam, glasses, and two boxes of contacts after discussing insurance with the sales person.
I paid the price quoted to me by WP's employee.
He appeared confused when ringing me up, and I even asked him if he was sure my insurance covered both contacts and frames. He assured me it did.
Now, days later, they are telling me they've made a mistake, they've shipped the box of contacts for one eye, but if I want the frames and the second box of contacts, I need to pay them over $100 more. They weren't forthcoming with this-- they tried to gloss it over until I send several emails back and forth digging into what happened.
Even if I just want to get the second box of contacts for the other eye, they want more money. Obviously, I am stuck with contacts since they've already shipped on box of contacts for one eye.
I was told the total price I paid would cover two boxes of contacts, an exam, and frames. Four days later, WP is telling me the price I paid actually only covered the exam and one box of contacts. I understand mistakes happen, but it was their mistake. They haven't even attempted to make it right-- only asked me for more money. Their employee clearly wasn't trained well, and I feel very misled. I would be fine just cancelling the frames and receiving the second box of contacts, but I refuse to pay them more money for THEIR mistake.
If I was more cynical, I would suspect all of this was common practice to trick their customers into bigger orders-- telling them they should order contacts and glasses since their insurance covers it anyway, then coming back and telling them they'll need to pay more to fulfil the order if they want to see out of both eyes.
GO SOMEWHERE ELSE where they employ someone who specializes in insurance claims instead of some kid using an iPad. You get what you pay for...Warby Parker is cheap for a reason.

The experience was great, overall. The store was clean, well organized and the staff were all super friendly and greeted me immediately. The eye visit was great! It's always a pleasure shopping at this location! The fit of my glasses were giving me a hard time but Rowena fixed that with a very detailed adjustment. In the midst of getting my frames fixed, she also recommended a few other pairs that could feel more comfortable. I felt heard and taken care of! Will be asking to work with her next time I stop in :)

I had a great experience here for an eye exam and first time purchase. I was greeted right away by an incredibly knowledgeable helper named Anna, who led me through some styles similar to what I had and gave me options that were more creative. She knew that store and its policies like the back of her hand. My optometrist, Maya, was amazing and very passionate. Answered all my questions and explained everything she did. I also appreciate her not jumping my prescription up just because she could. She found a nice medium between my old and new that worked best for my eyes. Great attention to detail.
Overall I will definitely go again and I felt very cared for as a customer and patient.

I had a WONDERFUL experience at this Warby Parker. Despite the insanity of this part of NYC, the staff was friendly, efficient, and relaxed. I saw Dr. Maya Mekawy who was incredibly easy to talk to, attentive, and knowledgeable when I asked questions. I felt like I was in good hands with her expertise, and appreciated that she explained her reasoning behind the choice to refer me to a specialist to have something looked into that showed up in my retinal scan. On the sales floor Ann helped me pick out my glasses, and she went above and beyond to answer all my questions - even demoing on her own glasses how the transition lenses work. She was patient and let me try on numerous options until I felt great about my decision. I'm the kind of person that dislikes being a customer in a sales environment, but Ann was chill and not pushy at all - while still offering helpful insight and ideas. I will literally go back to this store and ask for both Ann and Dr. Mekawy the next time I need an eye exam and/or am purchasing new glasses.

Beatrice was AMAZING! I came in because my daughter bent my frame. Unfortunately the frames broke while Beatrice tried to readjust and I found out my frames were discontinued. Instead of simply saying I needed to buy a new glasses, she searched the store for another frame that my lenses could fit into and compensated me frames for of the inconvenience. She was so kind and understanding. I truly felt seen and heard. I will definitely return!!

I had a very good experience during my visit. The Dr.Mekawy was kind and thorough she examined my burning eye, explained there was a small scratch, treated it carefully, gave temporary drops, and prescribed appropriate medicine. I appreciate her attention and care. One small issue: the person at checkout provided incorrect information and seemed unsure about the process. Please ensure staff are briefed so patients receive accurate information. Overall, I’m satisfied and thankful for the treatment.

If I could give them more stars, I would. I have Warby glasses, but had an issue with them. I had been to other Warby stores, which were not able to help. I walked in here, and after a short discussion, they not only helped problem solve with me, but came up with an amazing solution. They were very nuanced in what would work and what wouldn't and spent the time helping to not only figure it out, but solve my longstanding glasses issue! Thank you Beatrice, Sam and Anna. I'm so grateful for your help, and will only return to the Rockefeller Center store for my future glasses purchases!
