Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

I liked a frame but its size was medium and I asked the seller if it was possible to adjust it to my wide sized face. She said it is not possible. I mentioned that I liked that frame too much but she said it is produced only medium size, so it is not possible to adjust it. Then I went to Grand Central Store and there was the great man Nigel, he adjusted the frame to my head shape and it fitted as is it was tailor made for me. Never go to Rockefeller Store, Grand Central branch is the best. All staff were very very helpful. They informed me that if I buy pair of frame there will be an extra %20 discount. As they were all helping with a smiling face I was happy to shop in that store and bought two frames. Nigel is a very talented and helpful technician that he made up mu mind to shop always from WP Grand Central store.

There isn't a WP where I live, but there is one near where I stay whenever I'm in NYC (50TH & 6TH AVE). I enjoy looking at frames and having my Rx filled there. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful!

Excellent service! And fantastic anti-fog spray. It cleaned my glasses better than any other spray, leaving me feeling like I just got a brand new set of eyes!!! lol I went around letting people try it, and now they all want to buy some.
Oh and their huge eye glass wipes - ah-mazinggggg! My fat fingers don’t stand a chance against them!

It is my favorite location of this amazing brand. I’m with them for more then 8 years. Last year also started to use contact lenses. This brand is always have trendy glasses but the most important the professionalism of their staff. They will always find a solution and help to arrange all process smooth as a silk. Visit them yearly, and it always great impression. Today Hunter was incredibly helpful and professional. Will be back soon for a new set of lenses. Thank you WP!

He llegado a Warby Parker con unas gafas de sol graduadas de una conocida marca americana que ha cerrado su flagstone en NY, y a las que se les había perdido un tornillo y el cristal estaba totalmente suelto.
Dhiloren me atendió primero en inglés y luego en castellano con mucha amabilidad y simpatía!
Me coloco un nuevo tornillo, me ajusto las gafas y me limpio los cristales!
Cuando pregunte cuánto debía pagar, me contestó q el servicio era gratuito!!!
A mi me ha resuelto el problema, así que mañana, gracias a Warby Parker y en especial a a Dhiloren,asistiré a la graduación de mi hija con mis gafas de sol reparadas, ya que anuncian un día soleado en el Bronx.

Beatrice fixed my 2019 WP glasses that broke in the office today. She was friendly and helpful and didn’t judge me for not getting new glasses sooner. I was able to pick out a new pair and my prescription was still good. I can now wear my fixed glasses until the new ones come in. All in all a pleasant experience. So happy to have WP so close by. I ordered a pair of Hawkins eyeglasses with blue light filtering lenses and "anti-scratch coating" from this Warby Parker December 13 (frame $145, blue light filtering lenses $50, total $212 including tax). The blue-light blocking lenses are a custom offering, so the glasses were constructed and mailed to me just like any custom/prescription order would. Given the $50 they tacked on I would think they would stand behind their lenses.
The lenses took a bad scratch shortly after I have received them (the fastest this has ever happened for any pairs of eyeglasses or sunglasses I have ever owned). I tried to claim their well-advertised 6-month warranty on prescription glasses, only to have their associate Reagan tell me that it does not cover blue light lens, however he could be so kind to sell me another complete pair for $212 (or whatever it costs now) minus a small discount. I pointed out there is absolutely nothing wrong with the frames, so how about I just pay $50 to replace the lenses. Basically I agreed to pay full price for the lenses, with no warranty claim attached. They won't do it! I was shocked. The reason he gave boiled down to "we used to do this but we figured out it takes too much time."
Wow. Sorry to hear Warby Parker's time is so valuable, while my time (meaning the extra hours I would have to work to earn an extra $145 to throw away on a completely new pair because you don't feel like performing the basic services of an eyeglass store) is not.
Warby Parker is therefore:
- not a real full-service eyeglasses shop, as they won't replace lenses they themselves put in, even when you agree to pay for it
- not a cheap eyeglasses shop--$212 for a pair of glasses that became unusable after a few weeks is the most I've ever wasted on eyeglasses (and that number would have climbed to ~$400 if I had taken them up on the offer to replace the full set, likely with another equally scratch-prone set--I obviously did not take them up on this offer)
- not a quality eyeglass shop (their $50 custom anti-scratch lenses scratched immediately and the scratches are VERY bad).
Luckily, I found almost identical $80 (vs. $200) blue light blocking glasses from Le Specs, online, off the shelf, shipped right to me. Also the frames have spring hinges and a more robust/heavy-feeling construction. Also zero scratches to date with the same style of usage and care. Do with this information what you will.

I went for an exam back in December, and I was not prescribed the correct lens as I am dealing with Blurry vision with my new prescription. I am afraid to go back because it's expensive and all about sales there and upselling. While ordering contacts at my visit, I told that I was eligible for a rebate and the rebate was rejected. I followed up with the rebate company and was told that I didn't order enough to be eligible, but that was not what I was told by my rep at the store. Disappointed and far sided vision is blurry with new prescription, proceed with caution....
