The bright blue artwork inside of our Columbus Ave. store was created just for the space by New York-based illustrator JooHee Yoon. It paints a part-bird’s-eye, part-below-ground picture of the Upper West Side.
Comprehensive exams starting at $85
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $35)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

12-Dec: Update: Glasses in hand with the right prescription and glasses fully compensated. Thank you for getting this resolved and doing the right thing.
07-Dec: Update - collected glasses in store yesterday. Prescription is wrong. I asked for the prescription for reading and received the prescription for distance.
28-Nov: No glasses. Back early from the Thanksgiving feast, so will be there Saturday for my refund plus interest. Looking forward to speaking to a manager and writing a letter to your headquarters. :)
27-No glasses
26-Nov: Still no glasses, will be there on Monday to get a refund (+interest).
25-Nov: Another day of glasses to be delivered today and another day of no glasses.
Ordered on 09-Nov, site says arrives in 14 days (despite being in my town since 18-Nov) and 16 'actual days later' and shocker, no glasses...
24-Nov: Could not be more disappointed, first I was tripled charged, when the person in the store said the extra charges did not go through. Next the delivery is MIA. I ordered on 09-Nov, they have been in my town since 18-Nov and I still do not have them. Looking at the order every day, it promises that day, but no glasses. Next day promised to deliver, no delivery. I will need a new prescription before these arrive.

My husband & I had a WONDERFUL experience here today (but also many other times). Props to Cynthia & Gabriel! Cynthia helped my husband pick out new frames and also patiently told me what new frames would cost me taking account insurance etc. I love that Warby Parker keeps our insurance information and favorite picks on file for easy counseling about coverage and replacements as needed.
Gabriel helped me find a pair of glasses as I was specifically looking for one with a reddish hue, cat eyes, and larger lenses. He expertly located some other frames not on display and found a the hidden pair that fit me well. He then added these to my favorites for when my insurance would cover the frames. He also cheerfully helped to pop out the lenses in some sunglasses so I could see if these frames would work as regular glasses. What amazing service!
Both Cynthia & Gabriel not only were helpful, but they genuinely cared about what we wanted in frames/glasses and what stood out was how CLASSY they both were. Their other coworkers were just as gracious and helpful with helping to put glasses away and even opening the door for me upon exiting. These are little touches, but they meant so much!
Love this happy store with such gracious staff! Highly, highly recommend!

This is my second time attempting to purchase glasses using a gift card at this company. Both times the staff told me there was no balance on my gift card and directed me to call customer service, while all of their staff stood by in an empty store. It turned out they were attempting to process the gift card improperly, so I was ultimately able to use it. However, I spent about two hours in the store with next to no assistance. Severely disappointed with the utter lack of customer service across this company. How many Warby Parker's does it take to buy one pair of glasses?

the women at the front weren’t very welcoming nor seemed approachable/friendly. the wider one kept giving my friend & i weird looks. she seemed annoyed based off her facial expressions and the tone of her voice. we just decided to leave. she continued to give us weird stares as we were on the way out as well. the other location nearest to this one was super kind and helpful though!
