Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $35)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

As a first time customer My overall experience with the Warby Parker location on Broadway and 111th Street was absolutely wonderful.
The retail staff as well as the technicians and the doctor were all courteous Pleasant efficient concise and informative. The space itself was clean or the word I actually use is Christine very well organized and every question I had was answered.
They even asked me several questions that I had not thought of that obviously will serve to gain me more benefits out of my visit.

I just got a second pair of glasses similar to ones I got there 14 months ago. They are the best glasses I've ever owned, and I've been wearing glasses for over 50 years. Although they were among the most expensive frames at Warby Parker, they were less expensive than the least costly at another place I had tried first. They have my business.

Horrible communication when it comes to patient arrival. Opening time doesn’t coincide with appointment time. I arrived at 9:40 the door was locked. The store opened at 10 and I was told my 9:45 appointment had to be rescheduled because I should’ve gotten a call from someone telling me to knock on the door to be let in. Just horrible and a waste of my time which by the way is precious.

I’ve already posted a detailed review and will, again say, the Columbia branch is a managed by a professional, friendly and skilled staff. I barely got in the door before being attended by a number of staff. Brianna kindly and expertly reduced any stress I had in choosing from the many options I would have. They do not take my UFT insurance, but, truthfully ? The cost was lower than had I paid elsewhere, even w insurance. I suggest you all try it out, you won’t be disappointed.

If the prescriptions are properly filled, I'll give the review a 10! Value, service, assortment. I have a difficult prescription and have always bought top of the line glasses believing my choice of optician would assure a good fit. I was able to buy two frames with transitional, gradiant lenses for less than the price I usually pay for one.
