Inside of our 80th & Columbus store (right across the street from the American Museum of Natural History!) you’ll find a New York institution of our own creation: the Warby Parker Museum of the Blue-Footed Booby. It’s full of fun zoological findings, in-shop photo ops, and artistic homages to our unofficial, avian mascot. Dr. David Reves
Introduction
Dr. David Reves graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University (PCO) in 2003. In his downtime, he enjoys sports, science fiction, and spending quality time with his children.
Dr. Melanie Fleyshmakher
Introduction
Dr. Melanie Fleyshmakher graduated from the SUNY College of Optometry in 2024. In addition to her optometry degree, she completed a residency at Atlantic Eye Physicians and specialized in ocular disease.
Dr. Michelle Zou
Introduction
Dr. Michelle Zou is a state-licensed optometrist who graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO) in 2025. Specializing in primary care optometry, Dr. Zou uses cutting-edge technology and clinical expertise to create a supportive, eye care environment—prescribing eyeglasses, fitting contact lenses, evaluating eye health, and more for patients ages 4 and up.

Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

I loved my old frames from WP but after six and a half years felt like I needed a refresh, plus my Rx changed. It truly is the only place I would consider buying new glasses b/c of the wide selection of styles, the great, no-pressure service, all the time they let me sit, ponder and try on endless pairs (giving me honest is-this-right-for-my-face advice) until I made a selection. Optometry has evolved considerably and Dr. Pham gave me one of the most through and analytical assessments as I got my prescription updated. Eve and David provided over and above the call of duty in terms of customer service for my new prescription sunglasses. I would highly recommend the Warby Parker at 80th Street and Columbus.

The Warby Parker store on 80th and Columbus avenue is easy to navigate. Victoria was very helpful. She didn't follow me around the store while I was browsing (which I appreciated) but was immediately available to bring me styles in other colors and share her advice. I chose a frame in about 10 minutes.
Styles offered are basic and in different widths. I have a narrow face and needed a narrow frame. There were several to choose from. The selection is not the highest fashion if you're looking for unusual eye candy but there were plenty of sexy frames from which to choose.

My appointment with the eye doctor was quick and professional. Dr. P. explained everything well and her small office was very clean and the equipment appeared brand new. The retail staff picked out four frames for me while I was being examined and I went with one of their choices. My insurance options were clearly explained to me and WP submitted the forms that will hopefully get me $80 in coverage, paid by check. Now the real part...I've never had WP progressive lenses so I will post another review after I live with them for a few weeks. I've had Shamir lenses and Zeiss lenses so I'm interested to see how WP lenses compare. Having slightly off progressives sucks. Peace. Bart

What a great experience I had at this store! Too many details to go into but the takeaway was that I received a great deal of support from everyone who I dealt with including the doctor. But the real star of the show was Tay who was the problem solver all along. She was very patient and explained everything multiple times to ensure that I understood what was not working for me and how she figured out the best solutions tailored to my needs.
