Inside of our 80th & Columbus store (right across the street from the American Museum of Natural History!) you’ll find a New York institution of our own creation: the Warby Parker Museum of the Blue-Footed Booby. It’s full of fun zoological findings, in-shop photo ops, and artistic homages to our unofficial, avian mascot. Dr. David Reves
Introduction
Dr. David Reves is a state-licensed optometrist who graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University (PCO) in 2003. Specializing in primary care optometry, Dr. Reves uses cutting-edge technology and clinical expertise to perform a comprehensive eye health exam—prescribing eyeglasses, fitting contact lenses, evaluating eye health, and more for patients ages 4 and up.

Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $35)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

I’ve had really positive experiences at this Warby Parker location, whether getting glasses adjusted, picking out new frames or just browsing. I am terrible at making decisions, but today Victoria was very patient with me and made great frame suggestions. I have purchased four pairs of progressive glasses from Warby Parker in the past several years, and they have all been excellent. My opthomologist confirmed they were made correctly according to my prescription. I highly recommend Warby Parker!

What a great place to purchase eyeglasses! This branch on the Upper West Side is terrific. Excellent eye doctor with the most modern equipment for my eye exam. Friendly and helpful staff. The whole place spotlessly clean. Two beautiful pair of glasses are coming my way. Plus, company policy includes donating glasses to those in need, which they have done for years. It's a company that cares. A first-class operation from start to finish!

This was my first time ordering prescription glasses at Warby Parker. I went ahead of time and picked out frames with my daughter. Then I went back to have an eye exam, which I was able to get an appointment for the same day, order those glasses and a second pair for reading only. Everything took me less than an hour. The salesperson, the technician and the doctor were all great. They were calm, thoughtful, and informative. The price of the progressive glasses was about $400 less than when I go to an independent store and use insurance. And I felt that a really good selection of frames. All that said, I don’t actually have the glasses yet. I will try to update this review after I use them.

“The last frame” is what the manager said, laughing as he rushed out of the store room. I’d walked in hoping they could fix my busted metal frames, but was told WP didn’t make that model any more. That didn’t stop the staff from hunting a pair down hidden behind a bunch of boxes — the absolutely last frame of its kind. The manager and the staff made my day. What a hard working, fun bunch!
