Comprehensive exams starting at $95
We recommend an annual exam to help evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Plus, it gives you an opportunity to ask an expert optometrist any eye-related questions.
A detailed image of the surface of your retina for the doctor to assess your eye health and check for conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal detachments (available at most locations for an additional $39)
Thankfully, no—we have newer methods for measuring intraocular pressure now.
It's best to have this information handy:
A list of any eye- or vision-related symptoms you're experiencing
An overview of your and your family's medical history
A list of medications you're taking (non-prescription medications included)
Your vision insurance information (if applicable)
Any questions you'd like to ask the eye doctor
You should also bring any corrective lenses you're currently using—glasses and contacts—and a pair of sunglasses to wear afterwards in case your eyes are dilated during your exam.
A comprehensive eye exam includes tests for visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision, as well as a full ocular health assessment. A retinal exam may also be performed, sometimes requiring pupil dilation. Learn more about what to expect here.
We recommend getting an eye exam once a year to evaluate your vision, examine your eye health, and screen for other health issues. Other factors may influence how often you get an eye exam, including your age, whether you wear glasses or contacts, and if your medical history puts you at higher risk for eye diseases.
We're in-network with most major vision carriers, like UnitedHealthcare, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, and some VSP plans. For other plans, like EyeMed and Cigna, we often work as an out-of-network carrier. (Not all optometrists accept all insurance plans. We can only confirm your coverage details during your visit.)
Glasses and contacts prescriptions typically expire one to two years after the prescription was written. This time frame may vary depending on your state's regulations and the risk of your vision changing more quickly.

I went online and picked out a pair of glasses that seem to fit fabulously. I submitted my request for these sunglasses. warby Parker requested a copy of my prescription which I submitted after I went and visited my ophthalmologist this morning now three weeks have gone by. I still don't have the sunglasses which I need. I was told I would encounter some trouble with my choosing Warby Parker. I paid no attention. I like the way the glasses looked well. I got the prescription. I sent it to them. That wasn't enough. They wanted me to go to the website to measure my pupil distance I'm 70 years old. It's been a month. I did what was required. I am not going to be measuring my pupillary distance. I'm a lay person. I'm 70 years old. I was advised against Warby Parker. I was a fool not to listen. I'll never have the time that I spent with this organization back again I had better get my money refunded. I'm livid.

Process was smooth and efficient. Staff were lovely and professional. All my questions and needs were easily resolved (vision test for license renewal, new prescription, adjust my current frames, and new frames). Doctor was knowledgeable and offered clear guidance. Also the frames I got were exactly what I was looking for, clean modern equipment, learned I had a small but old scar on my cornea, which I didn’t know about.

Great selection of classic and modern frames. Opticians are so nice and very helpful. I love that you can try on frames yourself instead of the usual business model where you point at frame under a glass counter to try on one by one. My Warby Parker optician caught a typo on my ophthalmologist's prescription! Whew! Thankful she was so thoroughly checking.

I’ve been doing eye exams and buying glasses at WB for years. Today’s experience was noteworthy, because my frame broke last night, i walked into the Union Sq store this morning, was greeted by Kim, she picked up a new frame (same model), took the lenses from the broken frame and put them in the new. I was in and out in 15 mins - cost $103 incl tax. Super efficient, friendly and professional service and good value - thanks Kim.

This is my second time buying Warby Parker glasses at this store. The store experience is great - clean, vibrant, bright and always well staffed with knowledgeable and helpful personnel. The selection of frames is excellent, and the salespeople quickly deliver a great selection of appropriate frames for trying out. The capable and friendly technical staff is also helpful for service needs. While prices have gone up, they remain a decent value.

I’ve been buying my sunglasses at Warby for 5(?) years now? Came to this location today, and was rudely told I NEEDED to provide an email to purchase sunglasses. I told them I don’t ever give them my email and I buy from them every year, and the guy decided to talk back to me and give me an attitude about it. What kind of company only sells their stuff to people who give them all their personal info? And let’s be honest, this place isn’t cheap. I’ve spent over $600 here the past 4 years, but best believe this is the last year I get them. I still bought a pair, but never again. Great glasses. Terrible attitudes

Workers don’t even know how to search up insurance bc why am I being told that I’m out of network with my old insurance when I already checked online that I am in network with my current insurance. Left because they tried to push paying out of pocket when I first entered. Ridiculous

I ordered glassed 3 months ago. Despite emails promising delivery last month, I chatted with customer service (do not do that) and said they had no record. I spoke with someone over the phone who said the chat guy just put in the order and they've be here in a month. Good Job VC. Ruining another company. This one will be in the ground in no time.
